Hey I live in Redmond, looking at a 93 Econoline conversion by Universal, was wondering if I could pick your brain about your van.

Safari Can is a storage container that fits in jerry can holders.

I liked the photo of one with water, soap and laundry in it. Bouncing of the trail does the agitation for you! Can also be done with top loading moto panniers.

Awning, pop-up canopy, tents, or plain ole tarps for off-road/camping? Preferences?

Are there any pop up awnings that aren't total crap? I understand they need to be tied down to prevent damage, but they all seem poorly built, at any price point.

Matthewp's MuTTT (Multiple Terrain Tactical Teardrop).

The really tall faucet height should make it pretty useful. The sink itself is more there to catch drips, like the drip tray on a kegerator, but better.

    Why aren't popup's more popular?

It's a good and bad thing. I appreciate having the headlights of vehicles behind me blocked at night.

At first glance I thought that was identical paint to mine! How do you like it? What Timbren lift?

    UAV-TT (off-road tent trailer) build

Awesome build. I need to add a bunch more screws and supports to my trailer.

Why did this get moved from the camper trailer thread? Will someone please move it back?

Fortunately I run a street tired class, but I did haul a set of Miata wheels & tires on the bed once. Fridge was still accessible ;)

    5x8 Cargo Trailer Conversion

Very nicely done all around. With the new height will you need to modify your tongue jack or stabilizers? I always use blocks anyways for my stabilizers, maybe you'll just have to stack a few more up.

    1998 Aliner Off-Road edition

Yeah the trailer and the Corvette are both pretty versatile. :-)

I'd like to get away from that style of plug altogether really. Something like this within my power outlet door would be great. Then I could use any old extension cord to plug in.

    Off road Ready Popup Recommendations

I'd also suggest a big Aliner or Chalet. We love ours, it stays clean and dry inside folded up or popped up.

    Why aren't popup's more popular?

My pop up can go up or down in less than a minute, I do it all the time. No wet canvas to pack up either and a locking door.

    1998 Aliner Off-Road edition

So I didn't end up making that rack for the QuickJack but I just through them on the back portion of the bed and they were fine. It towed really well with the extra weight in the back to. Picked up a new spare tire since the previous owner had had it stolen off the trailer before he sold it...

    RTT heat

Nice, the heater is my favorite part of having a camper trailer.

    1998 Aliner Off-Road edition

I added a trailer hitch to my 2005 C6 Z51 so I could pull the Aliner to the racetrack and camp on site. I did just that last weekend at Portland International Raceway. It worked really well, the Corvette has more torque, manual trans and bigger brakes so I expected that it would...
