Honestly dude this is like religion. You'll never convince them to change their view so why bother. Victory - when you're up in the PNW shoot me a message. Beer on me at the end of whatever trail our unreliable rovers go up.

I'm not up on this, why are the Arnotts bad? Or what is the failure mode?

How much of a lift do you need for them to clear? Dial it back down to the minimum. You'll enjoy the articulation. I posted this on another thread but stock off road height is a 50/50 bump/droop and a +25mm lift is 60/40 which is general the farthest you wanna go. I run 265/65s and barely rub...

Folks - you want a reason not to run Johnson rods (or whatever lift he's running) - here it is. You're asking your air strut to ride topped out. And then you're surprised when it tops out too far? lol.

No, you read reports which were written by a website which filtered and presented data to you in the manner that they prefer. This isn't a hateful statement, just be aware that any sort of statistical sampling may not necessarily be relatable to you. I wouldn't care if a car had an iffy rear-DVD...

    Lift rods vs GAP?

This is not a drawback, it's a consideration you must make as unlike other cars you can run multiple heights. Why would you run 1" (or any lift) if you're on pavement? Like you said, align for standard height, then run 1"/25mm boost if you're off pavement and don't want the annoying speed limiter.

    Lift rods vs GAP?

^ he's right. +25mm is perfect to allow more travel at over 35mph without going too tall. I've actually measured this with each setting and various GAP adjustments. I even calculated the ratio of adjustment to change in position along the travel of the suspension. From full deflate to full...

    Does a 2” coil spacer exist for 2008 Lr3 w AB 2” coil conversion?

Heightened CG aka rollover risk. Alignment issues. Ride quality. Suspension being topped out. Every inch you add with a spacer is an inch you lose off down travel aka articulation. If you plan to only drive in flat areas and want to look 'cool,' go for it.

I can't wait for those lease returns. I CANNOT WAIT. The first editions are almost perfectly optioned provided I can find one with the locker checked. I just wish they chose a higher end audio system. I'll deal.

Your Disco didn't have a 300hp turbocharged engine. It had a 190hp NA motor and half the gears of the new defender. I cannot believe that somebody is trying to tell me that their eyeballed data is better than a freakin-SAE test. Seriously man. Why even trust power ratings? You know those are...

That's a great setup! Yeah, you should be just fine. Here's the SAE spec for ya: TLDR: If you buy a truck after 2013, you can tow whatever it's rated to tow. Beware of GVWR guidelines as well, of course. More TLDR: The 2.0 is rated to 7716lb. So if you're only towing 5klb, a 2.0 liter is...

^ I think people forget that it wasn't long ago that a chevy big block made 320hp. Is it just me? It was less than 15 years ago, and the mountains aren't any taller now. Well neither motor is rated to 10k, so not sure what you're looking for there. However, I'd like to point out that as of 5...

You're correct - it should. But only if it has solid axles and no EAS, and not traction control, AC... etc, etc etc. lol. I'm with ya. I was super happy when the JL came out, even though it's not for me. And i'll be happy when the new 4Runner and Land Cruiser come out. I don't get all the hate...
