This a cross post I have going on in8mud but I thought maybe there would be some new opinions over here. Anyway I'm selling my 80 and my mechanic convinced me to stay with toyota because any thing else will just not be reliable so I have always wanted a 60 series so are they really as rough...
Oh I would have to talk them down on the price. I really do like that NATO white and it looks to be great shape. Man I want and there no 99s in my area.
i made post about wanting a 99 but man i really really want to go buy this right now. if the gas milage wasn't the same as my 80 i would have it tomorrow.

i will be driving this truck 2,500 miles to my parents house in michigan and selling there so if your in the midwest let me know. ill have it there near the end of the month.
I'm trying to hold out but you just don't see them that often and being that my 80 has lockers and I have never really needed them I'm not sure I need the lockers...but I want them
So found this. No locker and price seems high but I don't think I would have to much to it because they already did it

im selling my land cruiser 80 series and looking at other options to buy. i ran across 95 discovery with 5sp and 2 inch lift and have always loved the look of the discoveries and wanted one but there reputation tends to scare me off. so I'm wondering if you guys could be honest and tell me if...
i had a 1997 rodeo that ran forever. i loved that thing but the rust of midwest took it away from me ( you can only weld up rust holes in the frame so many times before you really start to fear for your life) i ended up selling it (yes i showed them the frame) to some kid who just wanted a trail...
Another question as long as we are talking. I have an arb on my 80 right now am going to sell it with the truck but I'm wondering if I should keep it and put it on what ever montero I buy. Do anyone think it would fit on say a 99 if I find one?
Mpgs is one the reasons I'm selling the 80 I have and that's 16 on the highway so buying another vehicle that gets 18 doesn't make sense. Oh well new it is.
Also why am I finding so many with new motors in them? Some sound good but from what I getting from you guys it seems it would take decent amount of neglect to ruin an engine. Some are good deals but with a new engine I wonder what the rest of the truck is like.
also thanks for all the input...
I just saw a 1996 5sp for sale had over 200,000 on but had the head rebuilt and new head gasket. I didn't know they made a 5 sp. It didn't have the locker but to be honest my 80 has front and rear I have never even used them. He's also g 2000 for it. Might be cool
