    Kayaking in the Arctic Ocean

Well? How was the trip? I've done many a trip across Canada where I'd wished I had my kayak with me, so I get the appeal of dipping a paddle in the Arctic Ocean.

Are you kidding me? Up to $7000 off MSRP on Wrangler Unlimiteds!

Oh, I agree and was being facetious. Reading the forums, owners of TJs all said the JKs sucked when they came out; now all JK owners are saying the JLs suck. Well not really “all”, but you get my point. I used to chuckle when I saw TJ-owners would eventually “plug their noses” to buy a JK as...

Are you kidding me? Up to $7000 off MSRP on Wrangler Unlimiteds!

Well, if typical Jeep mentality prevails: JL < JK < TJ < YJ < CJ. ;)

Not surprising; people want shiny new things when they buy shiny new things so their neighbour knows they got a new car. Great opportunity for those who are happy to stick with the JK/JKU and aren't picky about colour or options.

It’s Here! Jeep Wrangler with Diesel News

Great news. Bring on the JT 3.0D! I’ll be in the market for one in a couple of years and want to see real-world numbers and reports on the all-new transmission mentioned in the article.

The Gladiator is still plenty capable; it’s still a Jeep after all. And the bed is big enough if you’re okay with leaving the tailgate down:

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

Well, since you didn’t ask (;)), I think the mostly tweed with brown accents would be classy and different.

I hate to say it, but my initial thought was the same as @Jeep or Tacoma ‘s suggestion. Other than the fact you already have a JL and the added cost and PITA of switching vehicles, why not a JT? Not sure what mods you’ve made to the JL, but many of them can be swapped over (as I’m sure you know).

Does your dirt bike weigh less than 300 lbs? Maybe give these guys a call: https://www.wilcooffroad.com/shop/hitchswing/ Edit: combined with the carrier @ratled suggested.

    Am I SOL?

To clarify: this is exactly my point. I thought I had 4.10s, but turns out I have 3.73s; I was wrong. Not the end of the world, but 4.10s would have been a better ratio (for me) than 3.73s as a starting point. Just like 3.73s would be better than 3.21s as a starting point. The closer I am...

    Am I SOL?

You're right, of course. (y) I'm just disappointed that I made a dumb mistake. Live and learn!

    Am I SOL?

I appreciate the feedback; I do know that autos and manuals are different, and I did do my research (5 years ago) when I was Jeep shopping. I wanted the 4.10s based on staying in the green zone of this chart. With 35s, I'd now be in the yellow zone and this is a DD and mild trail rig in BC...

    Am I SOL?

Well, that's not what was presented by the dealer; wish I still had the original ad as it definitely said 4.10s were included. I know the trailer tow package does not include the 4.10s, I just didn't know the auto option changed them out for the 3.73s; that should be noted on the sticker, IMO...

    Am I SOL?

And I just realized I keep typing “4:10” when I should have been typing “4.10”. Derp, newb. ?

    Am I SOL?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I’m in Canada, so I’m not sure if the Monroney Sticker fines apply, but it gives me a good starting point. The plot thickens! ? Following the rabbit hole trail of links and searches regarding this, I found another link to generate the window sticker rather than...

    Am I SOL?

So, I bought my JKR new in 2014. Searched all the local dealers at the time for the features I wanted; one being 4:10 gears because I eventually wanted to go to 35s. Well, my stock KM2s are finally worn enough to justify the expense of a lift and new KO2s to my Financial Manager. Oh happy day...

New Member Looking for some Adventure

Welcome to the 2-dr club! Nice JK. There are lots of 2-dr Expo Jeep threads on here for inspiration, but you will find space limited. The back seat is the first thing I took out of mine, but I still have to pack carefully. Still, tons of fun and as long as you think like a backpacker when it...

    New Jeep - Gladiator Rubicon

I can appreciate conserving space in the bed. I think the space above the rear fender might make a decent spot for a shovel (with the head facing back and behind the fender) and/or a hi-lift on the other side.. ?
