Balancing Tires 385/65R22.5 with a "balancing powder"

I did not use anything in my MOG tires but did use beads in the pinz, although it is a smaller tire, and it rode well, never faster than 55 MPH except downhill. I used air soft pellets in the pinz, about 10 to 12 ounces per tire.

    LR4 - remove 3rd row seats

I installed the Front Runner drawers and use the space under (where third row seats were) for storage of many things. My extra water is in water bricks (two at 3.5 gal each) behind the front seats on the floor in front of the second row seats. Wanted to use the FR water tank that would go there...

    Portable propane fire pit

I always carry mine when camping. Even if we don't have a fire cause we get to a campground too late to stay up very long. No longer even carry wood. I have two 11 pound tanks, one for cooking and the other for the fire can. Still have two one pound green cans for the camp stove if I don't want...

Any Coleman camp stove collectors here?

I have found Coleman stoves on Ebay and in thrift stores for more than a new one costs. I know for a collector that is not important but I buy things like that to use and not sit on a shelf. I did find a lantern at a thrift store, in the box, for $8 and it is a fine working model so it isn't all...

    Awning SunShade

Looking at the ARB foxwing awning and wondering if it works and fits on a Front Runner full length roof rack. Any issues with fitting and deploying it? If you have one and can give me some pointers it would be appreciated.

    Defender 90 Setup

Great set up. Could that awning fit and work on a full length Front Runner roof rack? If so who makes it?

LR3/LR4 owners: What height do you set your suspension?

If I notice uneven wear patterns on my tires I will be sure to get the alignment checked. thank you.

LR3/LR4 owners: What height do you set your suspension?

I have not lost suspension travel as that small amount of lift is going to allow for more ability to travel forest service and off road trails with a bit more ease as I air down and lose the achieved height through the GAP tool in decreased tire lift. Using something like Johnson rods would give...

LR3/LR4 owners: What height do you set your suspension?

With the help of my Rover Tech friend, and the GAP tool, adjusted the ride height from stock to add half inch to ride height and a bit more for off road height on my LR3. Haven't used the extra height that is already programmed into the off road height in rock and off road mode, that's next on...

    Reverse Spare Tire Mount

I do like the reverse attachment. This was a feature (the storage area) used on a few Pinzgauers as their tires are 'reversed' attachment. I especially like the applied cover one customer used to disguise the storage area.

    Maxtrax Storage Help

I have a FR rack and the MT's won't fit under it so I use the Marston mats. Had to make supports to mount them. Wanted MT but they did not fit. I know this is about the very useful MT devices but it was asked in a post if they could go under the RR like the table, they won't, too bad.

What do you use for deflating your tires?

My concern about losing the valve core was eliminated by going to the ARB website and downloading the PDF about operating the tool. The core is not going to be totally removed (technically) but remain inside the tool till retightened so I think that the ARB tool is probably a good choice. The...

What do you use for deflating your tires?

I looked at the ARB deflator but I don't want to remove the core, too easy to lose it or get it into the dirt. Stauns did not cost so much 30 years ago, but them few things did.

What do you use for deflating your tires?

I have some 30 year old Staun deflators that no longer adjust. Tried cleaning them up with brake drum cleaner but still they do not adjust. Looks like it is time to replace them with something new. What are the ones that you use and are they effective to bring down tire from 45 to 30 pounds?

    Post up your drawer/storage system

Probably because not a lot of people really do winter camping. That form of camping has its own special set of gear requirements.
