Awesome news! I wouldn't pinch in, if this non-oem part has play in it, who knows what kind of metal they used and if its pot metal on the clevis, pinching it could case failure down the road.
Great find and way to stick with it. Maybe put the manufacturing and part number down so none of us...
@gatorgrizz27 Congrats on the new addition man! You're gonna love and hate it but love it more and it will be good to you! My 08 LR3 has been the best vehicle I have owned and I keep plugging away at my build.
@John R You are gonna love love love the traction control in that D4. I know many...
@Ray_G I agree and have decided since I know I prefer my feet out the back hatch, I will take the time to lower the fridge and level it to clear a drop in panel. With that said, I realistically could have lowered everything almost another 1.5" if I had removed all of the carpet in the cab (2nd...
Another long day pecking away at the fit. I have some trimming to do yet and finish the legs on the right side where the second row seat would be. So far so good, solid, no wiggle or vibration, and ready for me to take the measurements for the sleeping pad. I have to lower the fridge a 1/2"...
I think that might be another vehicle all together for potential reveal or some crap this year as well. I can't imagine that is the actual Defender hood set up going off what we see in clad wrapping! I HOPE NOT! lol
So I finally got around to getting part of the top down on the sleeping platform. Here is the progress so far and I expect to have the side portions of the fridge laid down over the seats later today; wishful thinking.
I am using 1/2" black starboard for my platform; Starboard is heavier and...
BUMP BUMP! This is still available in SoCal (San Diego, Orange County, San Bern, Riverside)
Make me a reasonable offer so I can move this thing out of my garage!
Yeah agree with you both, just passing what info I received as the last time I was at a dealer to buy a vehicle was when I bought my 08 LR3 in 2012.....lol
I'll be down south later today and plan to hit a larger dealer and yes, it will be for a build slot which makes complete sense.
As far as...
Send those picts to TR and tell them unacceptable fit and ask them for suggestions! Mine is tight, there is not need for a gap that big because there is zero flex back there. One other member had a really bad fit problem on his rear and I can't remember who it was but mine fits lovely with no...
I had an interesting convo at the local LR stealership today!
I asked a few questions related to deposits for a Defender and configurations. Let's just say the responses were relatively in line with what we know here although the two gents that have been with LR management for over a decade or...
@scottymcdonald Here is another option for you. LionParts makes it, 26L water tank for the third row removal option. I have not been able to find it stateside anywhere, but might be worth shipping cost from Discovery-parts.de (Peter is awesome, helped me source a steel wheel option for me)...
Great comments from all; on the West Coast, I get all my parts from BP of Utah because they are awesome, cheap, and ship crazy fast. Everything you need is a website or phone call away for these guys to source (if its not on the site, just call them and tell them what you need).
The rack won't move unless there is pressure (or at least it should not) so unless the truck is running the PS pump is providing pressure to the rack, you really are inducing unnecessary stress on the steering shaft. Power assisted steering so you can steer without pump pressure but not...
