Chubon's (survivor) report is "Chubon was able to run to his pack a few yards away and retrieve a pistol but was unable to safely fire a shot at the bear that had pounced upon Uptain."
Means he didn't take the shot most likely because he was worried of striking his buddy (Uptain) since the...
Housing is surely a different beast but this still doesn’t solve the problem of a replacement key when one is lost or needing a spare without programmable electronics.
However, we almost have a full crew for SpaceX. Keep up the good work fellas, we are almost there I hope.
@spikemd agreed on the portable panel. I’ll have that option as well. There is a great part of the Southwest where shade is not an option. That set up with the y-connector for panels have the guy the option to charge off the roof panel or the optimal fold-up portable; that’s my ultimate goal.
Great info from you both! @Ray_G I considered the dual charger as well just for the fact that it can be pigtailed in the garage on a switch to charge multiple vehicles. I found a guy on the Yota forums that switched one of his battery pigtails with a y-splice so he could turn off his aux...
Not to jump in on an old post, but much of the solar energy that is generated is coming from the UV/IR spectrum which is not penetrable through glass.....hence why thermals can't see through glass! Then there are the refractive and reflective effects of newer glass in most vehicles for safety...
@DiscoNels thanks for the reply on the charger and routing. I plan to run mine to the aux as well since it will most likely have the largest demand. Can you tell me what CTEK model you are running?
@Ray_G what NOCO Genious model is yours?
Thanks for the response from both of you on this. I have an honest question, does the charger connect to both batteries or does it go through the isolator off one battery to charge them both? Might be a silly question but I honestly don’t know.
@Ray_G im leaning towards the NOCO but I’m not...
@DVD you are correct, the key must be in the ignition for GAP programming, but no fret, it is super easy with the factory keys! I can't confirm what non-factory keys will or will not work so we are all patiently standing by for the updates from a few of you brave souls!
I have my Traxide kit laying in the garage and am laying it out to get a good plan. I think I am looking at making a few changes to the rear harness 12v plugs and go to a Blue Seas 6 or 12 accessory box but not sure yet.
With that said, I am running the following batteries and I plan to buy a...
@A.J.M no worries brother! You are set up even better to have a rebuilt valve block on the shelf, that way you can swap the block out in a few minutes and rebuild the other for the shelf at your convenience.
My Landy levels out super fast now and the compressor is only on for a few seconds...
@LKLK Did you get the key cut from the locksmith and then program it via your Gap Tool? Do you remember off hand how much the key and the cut was and if you sourced the key from elsewhere and then brought it to Ken's Locksmithery?
Cost and where did you get the LR replacement key?
Cost of the...
I figured I would post this to readers looking for other options. I found this on AULRO this morning; it might be old news but here it is anyway!
MOAB 18" Wheels
@Swedjen I thought there would be as well but no, not according to parts manual either. I considered using a silicone bead around that area and might experiment with that when I get to the rear valve body hopefully this week.
On that note, the truck has been sitting now for four days without...
To all the members, you're welcome, I am just paying it forward, but the thanks are appreciated!
I wanted to add, some of the pictures still show dirty parts, etc. it was all about taking the pictures, the valve is uber-clean on reassembly so disregard if some of the assembly photos actually...
You have more faith then I do! lol.....
Good thing nobody's kids were playing in their own yard when she was learning her valuable lesson! Five kids have been killed in residential neighborhoods here in my local SoCal area over the last three years, three of which were by teenagers on cell...
@LR Max and @eloist Is this convo for a full replacement of the bottle or is there a new float? I know the old bottle supposedly can't get a new float and I have been running with the low coolant light for months. Since I'm in full servicing mode on the LR3 right now, I'm thinking its a good...
After I installed the new alternator today, I decided it was a great time to rebuild the front valve block since my front end was sagging overnight. I posted a "DIY Instruction" on the forums here for all the details of the project!
Parts found here: $35 per block (2 x valve blocks = $70)
