The Traxide kit is a fit-to-vehicle kit! From the batteries to the rear bumper, the kit is cut to fit the vehicle with every component needed. Yes, there is a profit margin we are paying for in the overall price, however, small potatoes when you have customer support, vehicle specific (bolt on...
How many were broken and/or stripped? If it's just one, I wouldn't mess anymore with it after you clean up the threads with the tap. Keep in mind, if those are stainless (I can't tell) they are much more brittle than Grade 8 bolts. Stainless obviously has a better corrosion prevention but not...
@perkj all of this makes total sense; I appreciate your experience on this. As I said, I am willing and have the opportunity through my fab buddy to cut and move and make brackets and battery boxes etc. to stuff the biggest battery I can under the hood so I plan to do so. When the price of a...
@perkj Any issues thus far with the Intimidator AGMs since you have been using them? I.e. charging or battery life, getting a full use out of your topped off batteries? Full 100ah, etc.? I know that is a lot of hoopla, just curious as we all know batteries are expensive and we only want to do...
@perkj thanks for the link. I am not sold yet on the Odyssey 2150 now that everyone has me scared on the charging profile!!!!! lol I have an Odyssey 1350 in the primary now with no issues and I like it as it whips right up, especially when at full charge amps.
I've been reading up on the...
@Jwestpro you'd love the BT module. Although GAP does not recommend the module is to be used for full-time use and monitoring, you can easily put it in while on the move and load your profile and live values on the fly. For stuff that requires CF or clearing of codes, you have to cycle the key...
Definitely a good choice! I'd like to have a new Rover in the family but would not prefer a $60k price tag again. I can buy another old Rover that I can fix easily and have a newer non-LR brand uber-reliable and much cheaper as a DD.
I have M8 6pt hex head I believe. I planned to swap them out after I shaved them down and they were still a ********** to get in. One is obstruction free, the other three are in horrible locations and it’s just a poor design all around IMO.
So, I took it back off knowing I wanted to observe for...
Boom! Nice work and keep us posted over the next few weeks on any changes if a problem should arise!
Oh, and you’re the Mission Commander for the SpaceX Mars mission. Call Elon, he’s waiting for your call! Don’t forget to round up your crew from the thread! Hahaha.
Genius!
@Hawkbeard that is correct, I plan to sandwich it or mount it on the skid plate so when the plate comes down, the trans pan is immediately accessible. I will do the same for aftermarket skid plates when the time comes. If you watch the video, you will see the bracket the heat shield attaches...
Yesterday I tackled the two-piece transmission filter change! I will not go into detail on this other than follow the AB Link YouTube video and this job will go off without a hitch!
AB 2-Piece Transmission Filter Change
My only change to how this process went down was to shave the heat shield...
@Hawkbeard yeah the D3 road handling is epic in my opinion. When I lived in Hawaii, we had heavy rains a lot and the weight and the traction control are really something to take note of over any other vehicle I have owned in the past.....well present too I guess. lol
Now that I am on the...
Read the thread title. None of the these are special pants, they are “other than” jeans are most are just as expensive or cheaper than some people’s preferences. But considering your title of “overland certified” is probably carrying you through life, I’m not surprised you said something off...
@DiscoNels yeah it would be nice to have a 50amp charger in the garage for the Odyssey maintenance cycle but I just can't justify that purchase or use. I've been considering the larger CTEK 25000 and NOCO 26000 for the start jump feature and true maintenance cycle but......still deciding! Both...
I have two sets and have a ton of miles on them. I've worn their previous mil-spec gear overseas from time to time as well. Great product, super comfy, a bit hot but I love them!
Another great pant for everyday wear that won't make you a tacti-goon are VertX Delta Stretch pants in various...
