i Am a veterinarian with 40 years experience in a very high volume practice. I would see OFA (the hip and elbow certification group) give a excellent all but never. Your OFA good should give you high confidence in your dogs anatomy.
I stumbled on this thread after reading the story on this site. My truck (flat bed four wheel camper on a Ram 3500 is only a 500 pounds below GVWR when fully loaded. My thought when I saw the photo was no way was this thing not grossly overweight. Curiously awaiting more details if they ever...
I couldn’t agree more. You buy a 3/4-1 ton truck so it can carry a load. Adding soft springs to improve the ride kill load capacity. Seems to be overlooked by our aftermarket suspension tuners. AEV mak a good product but I would like to see a larger shock for fully weighted truck.
A observation from personal experience. Leaf spring packs can settle a little with use. Might drive some before you finalize the front/rear ride height tweaking.
Love your blog on the website. You guys have done a wonderful job of documenting your build and travels. Sorry for the shipping fiasco. Some pics from the Kit Fox tour would be cool. Thanks again Bill
