Which repair manual for 2014 JKU?

I tried to get a shop manual thrown in when I bought my JKR, but no dice. The sales guy said "those are really expensive, you know", but I think he was just worried I'd do my own repairs rather than bring it back for service there.

Expedition overland article on not getting "Jeeping"

Well said, unkamonkey! I come from a seakayaking background (which is what led me to a Jeep: to get to remote inlets, launch sites and lakes) and I've always left campsites and beaches cleaner than I found them. Unfortunately, it seems many people are pigs and don't consider the effect leaving...

Expedition overland article on not getting "Jeeping"

I agree with this statement: Chris (the author) is not knocking Jeeps or the "Jeep Thing", just pondering the point of hitting hardcore trails for the sake of it. I dunno...that's not really my cup of tea, but to each their own. Some like the challenge of seeing how far their rig can take them...

Dilemma of which to KEEP.... Wrangler or Grand Cherokee

One thing to note...lysol still has the JKUR (his OP is a year old). No one could drag my JKR out of my hands (other than my wife - lol - but at least I drive the heck out of it on the weekends). If I had the funds, I'd be buying a JKUR for myself and let the wife drive the JKR. The seats in my...

People like that are the gems of the world; those who teach and share their knowledge and skills for no reason other than for the love of what they do. To those people (like jscherb): thanks!

Ditto. I wish I could find someone local to me who would be willing to teach! I'm full of ideas, but empty of skills. ;)

    Pansonic Toughbook with GPS

Why do you need wifi if you have a GPS device for your laptop? Forgive my ignorance, but I thought you wouldn't need data with this type of setup? I've been planning on getting a Bad Elf GPS for my iPad to use with my Avenza maps, so please let me know if I'm wrong.

Barn Door for JK factory hardtops

That, sir, is genious. Personally, I'd run half doors in the rear with full sized fronts. Visually, I don't like that the door handles wouldn't line up, in that case, so I'd either run rear trail doors or delete the handles on the outside of the rear half doors (and fill) and access it from the...

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

These guys make drop-down tailgates for older models; I'm sure they would be able to make one for the JK. They may in fact already have one in the works (no idea, but you never know). I like their sliding/drawer tailgates, myself. http://www.aqualu.com/jeep-accessories.html

Clone of ARB Intensity LED Driving Light/Light Force 250!

They look nice, but the "LED" in the ARB-logo style is a bit hokey.
