Not a buyer, just starting my own project.
Curious though... What the heck are those big brackets on the doors? Never seen those.
Nice clean rig, GLWS
Thanks
Not sure if there is a "most common" thickness, as everyones needs and builds vary.
For whatever its worth, Total Composites is 50mm
But this is from Tern's website, regarding their windows:
Four Wall thicknesses are available
24-34mm / 15/16" - 1 3/8"- included
35-44mm / 1 3/8" - 1 3/4" -...
Saw this and got all excited...
Weird note though that luckily a friend pointed out...
All their panels are 60mm thick. If you look at the Tern Overland and other brand windows and doors, the 60mm width is a weird oddball size that doesnt fit into most of the wide range of sizes for fitment...
Did some frame flex testing yesterday to get started on the subframe design.
It was VERY surprising to see such a giant beefy frame flex so much. I know C channel cab and chassis had more flex that boxed frames, but i didnt expect THIS much.
Note: The springs barely moved at all here, this is...
Not totally true. I’ve done a lot of business with them in the past.
Spoke with the owner at length and joked something to the effect of “I wanna order all my ******** ASAP before Warn has it made in China”
He actually took an out of character defensive stance on it and made it very very clear...
Front bumper, skid plates steps, and flares will be here in a few days so getting the winch and line ready.
Gotta say, i prefer the rope mounting bolt method of the Warn 16.5 much over the pain in the ass method of the wedge block on their Zeon stuff.
Factor 55 supports our Military and First...
For anyone building a 2019+ Ram trying to calibrate the Speedo and not finding many easy options since the ODB port is locked with new security nonsense.... I got you...
Thanks to my studying at YouTube University, i found a way to dial in the Speedo 100% accurately in 2 minutes with no bypass...
"SRW Conversion Wheels" arent needed to convert Pre 2019 3500 Duallys.
You can remove the front hub adapter and the bolt pattern on the hub is the same as the rear, as is the track width.
Any wheels that fit that lug pattern will work with no fancy parts needed.
Yes, all year 5500s use the front wheel spacer from the factory. Can see them on mine in the photo above.
The Beefcake build on here details an older one and how he made his own adapters. Was pretty slick but beyond my skill level.
I don't know the pattern of the bolts on the front if you remove the spacer, but i do know, the immediate drawback of it would be youd have a different bolt pattern in the back.
It applies for the 2019+ 3500 chassis cabs AND standard dually.
Watch this for a better explanation, its a bit long...
There are no spacers on this. At least none have been added by me.
The giant one you see on the front is how it comes from the factory from Ram, all duallys are setup somewhat similar. I havent done anything.
On the 3500s (8lug) you can remove that spacer and just use a normal off the shelf...
