No, I had regular straight shackles with Grade 8 bolts in the back. It was the upper grade 8 that broke. I am not sure if grade 8 is meant to take the lateral stress from the shackles twisting when the jeep flexes? I know they are harder than regular bolts but may not be suited for shackles...

The fuel pump relay clicks, and the the fuel pump makes a "grrr":sombrero: for a few seconds whe you trun the key. I can't think of reason that it would do that keyless unless you have a short in your starting circuit.

I get what your saying but, I repack the front wheel bearings on my jeep every six months and every six months, with grease up to my elbows, I look out the garage door at the 3 other unit bearing 4x4s I own and thank God I only have one jeep.:)

I searched in vain a few years ago. I wanted a cordura binder with a zipper closure on 3 sides to hold a gazateer. I could not find anything close. My gazateers get really beat and I make notes in them, so it is not super easy to just buy a new one.
