Just noticed your post. How was your trip? We just got back from a fly fishing weekend in the White Mountains and it was a amazing. We are new to fly fishing and had a blast. It's so beautiful up there and so relaxing.
Another option now available for 2017 Roadtrek has 4x4 available on their Agile van which is based on the Sprinter 144 chassis. Also available with diesel Alde heat/hot water, induction cook top, e-trek package for solar and lithium batteries. The good news is that you can order one with the...
Would a Transit with a 4x4 conversion void the factory warranty?
If buying new that would be a factor for me... Maybe just buy a used Transit and convert it or with the Sprinter it would obviously be covered under factory warranty because 4x4 is a factory option. I do love the way the...
It's not for me, but I like that they are reintroducing it. The price seems crazy to me though... It doesn't even include solar. For a little more money you can get an awesome Oliver Elite trailer. Can't tow an Oli behind an Audi but you can behind a 4 Runner.
I am excited with the Winnebago...
Kind of interesting news. Airstream is back with the light adventure style Base Camp Trailer. Available in October and cost $35k... Seems like a lot to me. I think it's cool that the market is growing in the US.

Found this SMB while searching for Sprinters (yay), and thought it might be of use to someone here. I have no affiliation with the seller. Looks like an FB50, voyager top, 37K miles, 4x4, in Eugene, OR for $75K.

Recon camper mentioned to me that MB corporate is preparing a version of the Metris that is OEM prepped for camper conversions. They mentioned 6 months plus to have them available to MB preferred camper up fitters. The version would allow for pop up roof figment that doesn't void the warranty...
+1 Not sure why I am drawn to this thread... I don't want to buy a Delica (although I wish Toyota would import the new 4x4 Hiace vans) but I guess its interesting reading for a post that is supposed to be a link to nonExpo vans for sale. I cant imagne the 1 or 2 people in the US that might...
One other point to note. From their website you dont have to buy the full kit, and can buy each major piece separately (Floor, Boxes with cushions, and wall coverings). If you wanted just buy the wall coverings for $1600 and do the rest yourself. Maybe the whole kit without the boxes and then...
Wow! Congrats! Awesome to see someone get what they wanted (e.g. all the toy storage). Great next step from your OSV Sprinter. Hope you love it.
Loved your Sprinter Blog so excited to follow your future journey. Whats the shakedown trip?
What is a "Roam" Sprinter? Is Roam a conversion company? Any links to their website? I did a quick search and didn't see anything other than Roam rentals but they looked like Sportsmobiles.
I agree for sure on the dealer front. I have two WGO dealers within 45 mins. here on the East coast and if these are mass produced it would be great to go down and buy one instead of dealing with the complications of a custom build from SMB (N, S, W), Van Specialists, or Outside van on the West...
Interesting news from Winnebago! They made an adventure camper based on the Sprinter 144 4x4 chassis. IMO I think it's great a main stream RV manufacturer is looking at entering this segment. Some of the highlights in addition to the short 4x4 chassis:
- European style layout with rear...
