Glad to hear there is so much demand for your new product. Also great to see some of the builds coming out (e.g. goose gear) they look really really nice. We are van people but if I were looking for a truck style camper the Habitat would be a great choice.
Van Specialties or Moorehead Designs can do a custom FULL interior (tanks, kitchen, bathroom, diesel heat, roof AC, etc) for less than $100k including the cost of the van.
Nice van!
Agree with above and would add that the Sprinter is also very very comfortable to drive (seats, driving position, brakes, ride, handling) and is more like a luxury vehicle than a van IMO. On long trips I just want keep on going. Also the huge windshield is really awesome on road trips.
Very very nice. Glad they posted all the interior shots so I can dream. That would be pretty awesome to "camp" in. If someone was in the market for a diesel class A or an Earthroamer this would be a much better choice and similar price.
I contacted WGO today and they said they have no information that it will be in production. I gave them my contact information but we are planning on ordering a van this month (most likely a Roadtrek Agile) so timing is important for us. If WGO was going to launch this Summer we would...
Wow. Nicest Chinook I have seen. So cool and what a great project. I love the front end change to get better headlights. IMO great lights matter so much with reducing driver fatigue on long drives.
Did they give any indication of when it would be available? I heard Summer 2017... also I am interested in options that might be available. My wife needs AC so that changes things a bit. I may contact them this week.
Wow! How do you like the Field Kitchen? Always liked those but thought they were expensive but nice to have that size and integration if you have other aluminum boxes like you have. Never thought if a large slide for the storage and boxes like you have on the Pass. side. Very nice. GLWS!
Its too bad the payload on these trucks is so low (Taco as well). Would be great to put a FWC or a AT Habitat on there but when you factor in the camper, water, batteries, etc. it really goes over the max.
I agree with Hanes regarding value... My Dad is an engineer so as a kid everything was analyzed and rationalized so we were never one of those families to have an RV, boat, or second home... always rationalized as a bad investment. However, I did get to use my friend's families boats, RV's and...
We have a full wetbath (nonSMB Sprinter) but use campground showers mainly due to the moisture from the shower. The vans are a small space and the moisture is a pain. Every once in a while it could be fine but most of the time its easier (and roomier) to use the campground shower (or external...
