Bronco Killer: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 470HP 392 CONFIRMED for 2021 Q1 sales.

I never thought I'd see people complaining about too much HP in their Wrangler. People spend a ton of money to swap out their factory V-6 engines for a more powerful V-8, and now the factory is offering it as an option. No more having to worry about computers talking to each other, or "making...

Bronco Killer: Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 470HP 392 CONFIRMED for 2021 Q1 sales.

Nobody ever complained about having too much HP under the hood. And you can always opt to go with the 3.6. It is good to have options.

Traction Board / Shovel Mounting equipment for Crossbars?

Interesting. Please post pics of the hardware separately and as mounted. Do the knobs have a hole all the way through? I guess if enough allthread poked through, you could drill a small hole at the end for a clevis pin. I guess I'm (overly) concerned about the knobs vibrating loose.

No smell, no issues. And I did a lot of bouncing on that trip.

    Land Rover ideas for Jeeps

You know I do. I'll buy a couple. Yellow's not my favorite color though, but not a show stopper. You know Overlanders like their patches (especially with Velcro on the back). Heck - maybe they could sell them here on the expedition portal's store.

Traction Board / Shovel Mounting equipment for Crossbars?

No hardware came with my X-Bulls. All the mounting hardware I used I purchased separately. An easy project.

Post favorite pics of your rig and trailer

Fall 2019 when I crisscrossed the country. I went from WA to FL to PA to VA, and then to Chicago to do the start of Route 66, to southern CA, then back to WA.

A tent-cot can also be repurposed into an RTT. Figure on average, a small lightweight RTT weighs in at just over 100lbs, and they go up in weight from there. This Cabela's Double Sized tent-cot weighs about 50lbs (weighs less once I removed the outer legs after mounting it on my trailer)...

    Jku Engine Swap options

I don't even know if the Cummins 2.8 is an option for the JK. Check out Axis Industries - they seem to know what they're doing with 2.8 conversions.

You could sell those patches. Velcro on the back would be even better. I would buy one, as would a lot of four-wheelers and overlanders. .

Hardware for mounting axe and shovel to roof basket?

I am a big fan of the Quick Fists. I use them on my truck, TJ, and trailer for shovels and axes. But check this out on my Willys' swing away spare tire carrier and how I mounted my axe. I took two 3/8" bolts, and bolted them to the carrier. Then I drilled two holes in the axe (does not...

    Lets talk shovels

I'd be nervous having $600 worth of MaxTrax strapped outside of my vehicle. Less than $150 worth of X-Bulls... not so much. And a cheap shovel.

    Will this shovel stay put???

I'm a big fan of the quick fists. I have them on the roof of my truck (those are X-Bulls beside the shovel), on my Jeep's roof rack, and on my trailer (shovel on the front; axe on the back [which you can barely see in the last picture]). They work great.

How much extra fuel do you take?

Both my Jeeps have a 5-gallon Jerry can. If taking the truck, I can put a 5-gallon jug inside a milk crate. My trailer has two 2.5-gallon Jerry cans, and two 1.5 gallon Kolpin cells mounted to the front of the trailer tub (one of which usually just has one gallon of pre-mix gas for the...

Traction Board / Shovel Mounting equipment for Crossbars?

I finally got around to replacing the pieces of vacuum line with some 1/4" ID vacuum line caps. Looks a little better. They were slightly too long, so I cut about 1/8" off the ends of each one. You can see the difference in the pictures (I replaced the last remaining one after I took the...

    spare tire shaped water storage?

Did anybody mention the Daystar Cam Can kits? https://www.daystarsuspensionparts.com/kj71035rb I have one mounted on/inside my lil' trailer's spare tire. It holds about 2 gallons of water, and is very accessible.

Yup - shortbed. It is on repaint job #3. First two times I had it repainted in the factory color (Driftwood) by Maaco. This last time I had it painted 2015 Corvette Shark Gray. Never any rust or real body damage - the usual parking lot dings. The roof racks on the topper are from a Chevy...
