People and a lot of truckers drive like mad men / women in every State in America. Even California. Some roads it's save to go 80 plus most are not. It's tail gating, caring to much speed in coners and passing on the right that scare me.
Thanks for info on diesel heater. I have a duel wheeled tounge jack and small chalks that are connected by rope that I can place in front and behind of wheels very quickly. Does that hand brake lock the brakes enough to keep forward pressure off the tounge hitch for easy un hooking from tow...
Hey Ozarker easy on Idahoians. We are good folks and one of the most epic mnt terrain in the lower 48. I least they don't make unflattering Netflix shows about us.
" The reason we went with duel 5200 pound Timbrens was to ditrbite weight and have more flotation in the softer terrain" So 2,900 pounds is not much weight for two 5,200 pound rated Timbrens to distribute. Also I can't imagine a softer ride if your on 10,200 pound rated elastomers either. I am...
Well mate I will get crackin to explain in lamin terms what an anderson plug is. As fare as I understand it's Australian version of a 12 volt cigarette lighter plug. More robust
Hope this doesn't sound sound like I am taking the piss out of you
Cheers mate
Oops no room for tounge box on TL. Forget what i said about rusting at least for tounge box. But after looking closely it looks that tounge look short with ladder and tires. Might be a truck tailgate crusher. Also looks like they maybe using the same chassis as the HV. I would verify that. IMHO...
That's awesome they are taking care of you. Couple of questions and pardon my ignorance. Lots of folks seem to be fans of diesel heaters. I have always been turned off by the thought of needing to carry diesel. Did the diesel leak into your camper? Also the emergency brake cables seem sloppy...
Also the TL is caring some of the issues the smaller units have had. One is rusting tounge box. Yes despite all the claims of aluminum in these rigs anything painted black is steel. I understand maybe the chassis and rock sliders being steel but tounge box and racking. I hope at least they will...
Just wanted to see if I am over thinking this new model. This rig is 14.5 feet long and 9 feet tall. The claimed dry weight is 2,900 pounds and it has duel timbren 5200 HD suspension. That's 10,400 pounds of potential gwr. I did see it being towed by a Wrangler in a picture. A 9 foot tall...
Hey I did finally see a video of the chassis on the smaller Mammoth and it is tube steel and looks fairly beefy and heavier then say my aluminum chassis. Still baffled on how the TL is not heavier then mine and the owner was pulling the TL with a Wrangler. ..eek
Like I said before they seem to...
My guess is most of the issues I noticed on the FB page have been taken care of. Kudos to them for taking care of thier customers and letting folks post about problems and not delete thier comments.
Not sure the thickness of the sidewalls but T6 aluminum could not be lighter then say 3/4 inch...
You might want to jump on that Mammoth FB page and see if you would still consider one. I will say they do appear to have good customer service but it's not pretty. 157 members and lots of issues. Please don't come back with all trailers have issues on this one.
