Okay looks like Mammoth had some growing pains with the Timbrens on thier first run of trailers I assume they have figured it out. They did not install cross bars which is crazy. Several customers had issues trying to correct camber and it appears like in was in vain for some. If the chassis is...
One thing for sure this is not a FRP box. Lots of metal. Tons of impressive and unique aspects!
Love that wide rear entry door. Out door kitchen is absolutely awesome. 50 gallons of fresh nice. Love the roof windows. Timbrens work for me and keep the weight down.
On the negative side for me...
Good catch I wouldn't have noticed that. No way this trailer would last driving to that scenic spot. There are at a price point is very affordable but don't market them to be off road.
Looking a little closer I still can't find any pictures of the chassis. It just seems like they are not beefy enough to handle any kind of dirt road travel. The ground clearance has to be less then 11" with the gray and black values hanging down even lower behind the wheels. It's a total...
Yes one thing for sure is that FB group is monitored very carefully by what I assume are the owners or employees of encore. I said one negative comment and was booted and can't even search for the group. What a joke. If anyone is lurking on that group trying to get a feel for quality don't bother
Very true my bad. I am just lucky I don't need AC were I camp. So many folks that live in hot climates go to great lengths and expensive to have that 75 degree temps inside there trailers. I just thought in a place like Lake Tahoe you wouldn't need it.
That's ironic because I had a livin lite quick silver 10.0 pop up for 10 years. It was huge inside and had no electronics or appliances but my family grew up camping with that trailer and loved it.
Hey DMski- if you haven't done this already join the Rov Lite Facebook group. They will approve you right away which is cool. Once in the group search key words like " issues " , " leaks" "cracked ". This will show you alot.
Not saying I did this because that would be obsessive.
Of course...
Thanks Nik! Full disclosure I was nervous at first cutting a hole in my trailer but folks should know that when done properly it's not a big deal and the hole is small.
Next trip I will get significant miles on some fine ID dust.
Just realized something. Maybe my wife will let me go to Burning...
KC sorry to hear this about your trailer. Seems like lots of folks are happy with thiers on that FB group. These trailers do sell for considerably less then other US built off roaders but off road trailers just can't be built on the cheap. Or be sold by cheeseball RV dealers who don't know sheet...
Just got back from another trip with some dirt roads. DustBox continues to impress. No signs of dust what so ever!
I noticed in the side mirrors how the dust has a steady flow coming off my Lexus tires right up to the front center of my trailer were my DustBox is mounted. Just glad its filters...
So after six months of desert trips I am finally getting an alpine camp experience. Any guesses? Man it rained and thunderd hard last night. No leaks but I was ocd ing with flash light to confirm. So green up here. Massive mud slide on the pass.
If you zoom in on the peaks and picture a woman...
Quick update on DustBox.
I needed a more alpine experience. Lots of trips to the desert the last 5 months. So only about 25 miles on dirt roads from Sway Valley ID to the back side of the Tetons. Even with lots of rain the last month up here there was still dust. It's a ID/WY high altitude...
Great points and yes it is silly to think any American built trailer is totally US made.
It just my preference not to go the Chinese made route when there are option in the US and Canada but to each his own
These NJstars do seem to be better then the rest.
