Trying to figure out which trailer to buy - Family of 4

That's cool that it comes with that much solar. If you go lithium will you need to upgrade charger or any other electronic? Generators are cheaper then going lithium that's for sure. For me I don't want to travel with any gas or diesel or noisy generator but I am an old hippie

So that solar and Lithium is another 3-5k over your 29k cost?

Trying to figure out which trailer to buy - Family of 4

ROA has a demo that is branded as a Tribe for 55k. They are supposed to be updating but my guess is roa won't carry them. No near the quality of the NJstar. Looks like a nightmare but I guess I could be wrong

OK I stand corrected that is much better insulation then mine. Is the chassis galvanized steel? Did it come with lithium and solar? Frig is tiny did you upgrade? What's the gvwr? You are 500 pounds heavier.

I am surprised your NJ is that light. I assumed you confirmed that wieght. How thick are your aluminum side walls. Is it just one layer? Or is there some sort of insulation? My rig has minimal insulation (3 season) for sure but yours must be worse? Assuming the chassis is galvanized carbon steel...

    2023 UEV-14

I didn't see them on thier website but I believe Yossarian22 mentioned they do or will have 2024 14's. IMHO I think anyone buying an OBI trailer best plan on being on thier own.

Trail Marker Up and Out with Wet Bath by Rollingstar MFGing

I always wanted a positive pressure system in my trailer to keep the dust out. Lots of dust in the places I like to camp in UT,ID AZ,OR and MT. I finally found an aftermarket system called DustBox. https://goadventureready.com/ So I just got the unit installed on my trailer and I am very...

DustBox - dust mitigation device - positive pressure system

To be totally honest I was very nervous when I first considered this product. I am sure cutting a whole in a brand new trailer scares the sheet out of a lot of people. Keep in mind it's a small hole 5" by 5" and this unit sealed up very well. Next up is a 50 mile trip on dusty dry UT and ID...

Pls Buy Some Appropriate Dam n Towing Mirrors!

I agree it's safer to see what's behind you. I have a very small 18 foot trailer that is 80" wide. My tow vehicle is a gx 460 so I am border line on needing wider mirrors. I always assume I am slowing people down on steep mountain passes. Even on the steepest pass I can maintain 60 mph. One...

"Campers" that you can't sleep in

So SIOT is a made up acynom for " sleep on it trailer" meaning you sleep on it. Like mount a rooftop tent on it or on top of it as apposed to what you like a sleep in trailer. Meaning sleep inside it.

"Campers" that you can't sleep in

Interesting question. So your talking about "sleep in off road trailers". (SIOT) Overland folks like these small light SIOT''s because they are use to tent camping and off roading and want to step up to get off the ground or mostly have more gear, water and power. They can tow theses rigs with...

DustBox - dust mitigation device - positive pressure system

So install was smooth. With the variable speed switch , Dustbox mount with interior wiring the cost was close to $300. It took 2-3 hours. Someone posted that was a rip off. I think it was fair.

Any issues with water intrusion and how does it do in cold weather?

    2023 UEV-14

Those are very minor issues. Would you feel comfortable buying a new 2024 unit if available from OBI with all thier issues and burning and or loosing most of thier dealers?

Trying to figure out which trailer to buy - Family of 4

Yes different strokes for different folks. I guess being such a weight weenie metal boxes with tent canvas and low hanging entry entry door right in front of the wheel never was a consideration. Just joshing you man.
