didn't get a chance to drove it in highway, however in parking lot was ok for me . I am sure Gen3 are more refined .

Thx, for feed back, so you are saying it worth a wait for Gen 2.5? since 1992 models year are considered Gen2. I saw the 1992 one didn't get a chance to test drive as it was raining hard, but interior is nice under the truck is surface rust, this particular models didn't come with 3rd row seat.

Exterior looks real nice, apparently there was some radiator leaks. but it fixed with patch. what do you all think. ? being 150HP, how they go in Highway? are 2.5 gen more reliable?

how is 1992 Montero compare to later models like 96 and above? found one near me asking price is $3K with 160K on it. recent timing belt/water pump service done recently.

so I can cross the ad, "while driving vehicle developed a rough idle which has been diagnosed as problem with the crank pulley" . how bad this could be? could be engine being damaged as well? does it worth buying and fixing it at shop and what would be the cost? Thank you

yes, I did. it may be need fuel pump, or something else. so the issue I have is I can't verify anything else since Montero does not start /run. to me little too risky.

it has to be towed. since won't start. how serious could be repairs?

first one mentioned needs work, hopefully not too much work is required, other wise may not worth it. just my thought.

Thx, just want to be clear that timing belt/WP work done by his mechanic at his work place so it is not documented it is word of mouth. that was my hesitation , also he is saying all fluid was changed by him? is this something I can go for?

millage seems little too high? if I am not mistaken you paid $5500 with 109K miles.

there is one 03 20th Anniversary with 133K , but Timingbelt.WP is done and asking is $6500, I believe it is too high for that millage, blue book is $4500. some sellers adding maintaance to their asking price which should not be like that.
