    Kayaking in the Arctic Ocean

That's why I'm asking if anyone has any firsthand experience up there around Tuk in the Beaufort Sea. I've seen some pictures of the Beaufort Sea, and it looked pretty placid. We don't plan on doing any extensive kayaking in the Beaufort Sea; I think we're just going to paddle around a little...

Coleman Addiction.....for pesants. ha ha ha!

Lets see... At least two Coleman tents (& I need to get their smaller 10x10' tent for my next adventure), one sleeping bag at least, a dual element propane lantern, a single element fuel lantern (probably 20 years old with a plastic case that I've never fired-up), a 52 qt cooler (that's on the...

    Kayaking in the Arctic Ocean

In August (2019) a group of us plan on driving the Dempster Highway all the way to Inuvik and on to Tuk now that they opened the new road, and put our kayaks in the Arctic Ocean (technically the Beaufort Sea or even more descriptive possibly the Mackenzie Bay, but whatever - saying "The Arctic...

    MaxTrax, are they worth it?

Thank-you so much Ray_G for that write-up! I would love to see a comparison of the Maxtrax vs. X-Bulls (and it seems like there are some other vendors that sell essentially the identical thing as the X-Bull but with a different name). And you should be able to get a set of X-bulls for $75. I...

    MaxTrax, are they worth it?

If someone would be so kind as to donate to me a pair of Maxtrax (preferably in OD green but of course any color will do), I will replace one pair of my X-bulls (aka "cheap boards"?) with the pair of Maxtrax. I will be going on a snow run later in January. And if/when I am in a stuck situation...

    MaxTrax, are they worth it?

Pictures from said side-by-side experiences? Article write-ups? Links to articles or forum posts from your's (and Ray_G's) side-by-side experience (you both imply you were there experiencing these side-by-side experiences)? What brand were the "cheap" boards you used in your side-by-side...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

Replaced the factory back-up bulbs in my TJ with some LED bulbs. $10.00/pair (& free shipping for me anyways). They're pretty bright.

    MaxTrax, are they worth it?

Some things I buy high quality (and more expensive) if I will have to really depend on it. Like a winch (have a Warn on the front of my Jeep). Or my camping stove and such. I like to buy tools from Harbor Freight, but I avoid their electric powered tools. But traction boards? I would like...

1st gen Trooper 4 cyl any good?

I had an 89 with the four cylinder and five-speed. It would make a great overlanding vehicle. With the back seat removed, you have a ton of storage space. Only thing I didn't like was it didn't have a shift-on-the-fly transfer case.

2 inch lift on your 2nd generation Subaru Crosstrek?

I would like to put a 1.5" lift and 215/75/15" tires on my wife's 2017 Crosstrek if for no other reason just to make it easier for me to get in-and-out.

    One-burner propane stove?

I'm replying to one of my own previous posts. Is that weird? Anyways, my wife asked me for my "Christmas wish list" the other day. I put this Gas-one stove on my list (along with some other camping and vehicle related items, and of course I always put ammo on the list). And from now until...

Do they make a carrying case for this stove? I can't seem to find one anywhere.

    Camp Stove Help!

This one has caught my attention: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N1RO9WG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_aNGcCbP8C74Z3?tag=viglink20599-20 I'm in the same boat - wanting a single burner stove that'll use propane that I can use on my Jeep's tailgate.

That's pretty slick. I do like the dual fuel option.

2 inch lift on your 2nd generation Subaru Crosstrek?

Here are two companies I know of that have lifts for 2019 Subaru Crosstreks. My wife has a 2017 Crosstrek and loves it. Maybe someday she'll let me lift it, but I doubt it'll be anytime soon. It would be nice to lift it just to make it easier for me to get in-and-out of it. I've got a lifted...

    One-burner propane stove?

Yes; so far this Coleman one look like the winner (reasonably priced, and small footprint). It doesn't have a wind screen, but I'll be using it on my Jeep's tailgate, so that'll protect it some. I checked out the link for the Partner stove too. Nice, has a windscreen, but way too expensive...

    One-burner propane stove?

I was at a big-box store the other day walking through their camping section, and came across an inexpensive (unfamiliar brand) single burner propane stove thingy (not a butane stove with a propane option). It was just pieces in a box, and said max 5,000 BTUs. It looked very much like this...

Are there any true one person roof top tents on the market?

I bolted a double-sized tent-cot to the lid of my trailer (think of it as an RTT), even though 99% of the time it will just be me sleeping in it. It weighs about 50 lbs. I like having my gear and such (and clothes for the next day) inside the tent with me and beside me, and not to be sleeping...
