Yes, I'm 240 and it's been tested at a high rate then that. No problems.
We were a little septical when we first ordered the PETT and P'UP tent but after using them on two trips, they rock. For my wife, there was no other way she would join me on trips without some form of a toliet. This fit...
Hey Fireman78, not sure if you were asking from me but here are a couple shots. Not the best but gives some idea.
Queen size bed, storage underneath
Floor area which we have used to eat in, get dressed and even set up the PETT toliet when it's too cold or windy outside for the privacy tent...
I highly recommend the Kamparoo. My wife and I have done two trips now, with the last one this past weekend on the Mojave Road. Ours has the Trans-continental kit which has larger tires, shocks, more clearance and a longer drawbar. We loved it and it worked GREAT!
It's nice to go from this...
That's a big 10-4 on that spec. :punk03:
Working with Baer brakes over the years, that was typically the minimum clearance needed. In some case I have seen tighter but they are on trailer queen street rods.
You'll be fine. Now get some tires. :p
Actually not too bad. Stay to the left and no worries. I am sure a few more big rains and that might be a different story but I have also heard there is going to be some road work in mid April to repair a few spots. Honestly, I thought the road was cake as far as difficulty was. Outside of...
I had thought about that and wasn't sure what reaction I would get so after yours, I rethought this and made an edit. :ylsmoke: Hope I didn't let the cat out of the bag, so to speak. :removeredX:
We camped at a flat area just below where the stone walls are. There were a couple fire rings...
I have been toying with this idea as well as the one above. My Kamparoo is using slider springs with shock and though it worked very well this past weekend on the Mojave Road, I could see it having a little bounce while on the freeways. I also would like to give a little more isolation to the...
Completed Trip! Awesome time!
Hi everyone,
If you just want to see the pictures, go here… http://gallery.lisaandmike.org/mojaveroad but the story and a few pictures are below.
Just wanted to share how my 40th birthday and our Mojave Road trip with Trail Monkey went. It was an...
The rotational part of the axle works from bushing deflection. If you look at your JK, your axles "should" only move up and down but if you jack one side up, look at the bushing at the pivot points, they are deflecting within the rubber to allow everything to twist. This is why you don't want...
I had looked at their web site as well. I thought it would be a cool setup as well. I think the biggest problem is they list them for full size domestic trucks so not sure how well they would fit anything else. The ex military ones in that post seems like a great price, $1500.
If I was doing...
Well I was finally able to get around to so trailer mods on our Kamparoo. I had bought a Lock 'n Roll hitch but the trailer is not setup with a receiver to accept it. No problem, just a little cutting, welding and volia. Since I cutting off the old coupler setup, I got the cutting torch out...
I love my Magellan Crossover. Great vehicle navagation and off-road tracks. Got it from Costco online for $230. Search this forum for more info.
BTW, anytime someone asks for the "best" of anything, you will get tons of different answers. Kind of like what off-road vehicle is best? Jeep...
I was on the fence about buying a lower cost winch but after hearing about the different problems with these winches and almost nothing negative about Warn winches, I decided to hold out for a Warn.
For me it will be a very occational use item but since most of the time I will need this I will...
Since I don't have kayak's or even have ever been in one, I am not sure if I'll understand all the issues with mounting them but as far as a mount, you could look at using angle iron running lengthwise, which could u-bolt (or bolt thru) you rack and use wide flat stock bent to match the curve of...
Only 5 more days! :wings: Looks like weather should be great and we are going to get Trail Monkey's new AT trailer dirty. :)
We'll keep an eye out for others. :Astrologist:
My moto is, anything worth bolting together should be bolted together with Grade 8 hardward. I recall bolting down my dad's center console in his Nissan Hardbody with Grade 8 bolts. That sucker never moved. LOL :D
