It's about a 1/4" away. With 24 bolts holding it on, if I get any movement, I have bigger issues. :D Not really any flex there, unlike a body on frame setup.
Powder coated and installed pics.
I got the bumper back from powdering coating and got it installed this past weekend. Still need to wire up the driving lights but I am really happy how this turned out. Hope you enjoy. :lurk:
Here is what I am thinking of using.

It's used for marine use so it should be okay for weatherproof.
Just wanted to give everyone an update. I wired the Cherokee up using the pin placement instead of using wire colors. It all works great now!
Thanks guys for all the help.
Okay, wire colors, out the window. :D
I'll match everything up via pin location based on what seems to be standard.
[rant on] So am I the only one that thinks there should be standard colors used for trailer wiring? A yellow wire should always be used for the same thing, even if it moves...
Hi guys and thanks for the replies. I guess what I am confused about is that in the four links above, there are 2 different ways to wire up a 7 pin.
I think the problem lies with the colors of the wires. On two of the above links, the yellow wire is the Left Turn and on the other two the...
Okay, I am completely frustrated with trying to wire my Cherokee with a 7 pin plug and then make the trailer match. So far I have found TWO different ways to wire a 7 pin plug. Both are different and I am not sure which is the correct way. On top of this, I have a '98 Chevy C1500 which has a...
Congrats
We were wondering how you did. My wife and I are both looking to get our HAM licenses but at the moment don't have the extra time. Hopefully by mid year. :ylsmoke:
Congrats on the new Cherokee!!! Looks very clean. :26_7_2:
Lot of things you can do to it, great aftermarket support and will suprise most people on where you can take one, even stock.
I'll have to double check when I get home tonight but I think I saved the update file locally so I could email it to you. Agree about the customer service but they did replace my car adapter due to mine having a bad fuse. BTW, just try to find one of these fuses. :smilies27
As for a kit for the rear, not at this time. I think he is working on a winch bumper kit currently with plans for a rear.
Here is the link for the kit on NAXJA. Again, they only have front ones for Cherokees.

I sent it off for black powder...
Thanks a bunch guys!!!!
I knew I could count on you all to have a good answer for this. Looks like I will route it the way that the lines work the best.
I did add the t-stat in line. It's made by Long of Canada who is an OEM supplier so I figured they knew what they were doing. :D
Hi SWR, long time no see. :D
As for your question, IF you are keeping the stock, in radiator cooler in the system, then the typical method is tranny out>stock radiator cooler>aux. cooler>tranny in. The idea behind this is to warm the fluid up quickly in colder climates.
The drawback to this...
It's a Low Buck Tools version but there are a number of ones out there that look and work the same. Biggest downside to it is it will only do up to 90* bends. Nice thing is that it's small and doesn't need to be mounted to anything to use.
Does it matter which way the fluid flows through the tranny cooler?
My lines route better if I have the hot side going in the bottom of the cooler and cooled side coming out from the top. I am bypassing the stock in radiator "cooler" so that does not need to be taken into account.
Thanks!
Update
Well I have been busy at work modifying the bumper kit. I wanted to add some more protection plus I wanted to "cover" the space between the bottom of the bumper to the bottom of the crossmember. Here are the pictures. I also added a C-Rok steering brace and C4x4 bumper tie ins that...
Well, I called and it is NOT new as she claimed. I has been used regularly for the last 2.5 years but as she said "it looks like new". I think I am going to pass on this, even at that price. Would much rather have one that is actually new and has a warranty.
Thanks for the heads up.
Don't anyone bid on this.:jumping:
I am planning to in the morning after I call the seller. This would be perfect timing for our Mojave Road trip in March. :archaeolo
