    SYE Advice

Sitting at 3" with a Chrys 8.25 rear end. Did the SYE in the vehicle. I did add shims at my leaf packs, 4* IIRC. No vibes or problems.

    SYE Advice

That's exactly what I used for both the SYE and driveshaft. Overall it was very easy to do. I actually watched this video (even though it's for a TJ) as it covered most of what I had questions about. Even reference it while I was doing the conversion...

Finally building my front bumper for the XJ

I bought this bumper kit from a member on NAXJA. The parts are CNC laser cut and CNC bent. Very nice kit, which also came with Hella Optlux driving lights. Here are a few pics from what I have done in about 6 hours of work. At this point the bumper could be painted and installed but I want...

Mojave Road Trip, March 14-17 2008

Hey James, funny you should ask. I was just looking into that last night and what I found was SCARY! :yikes: Comments I found regarding what looks like the three in Baker ranged from, very rude to only stay in Baker if it is a life or death situation. I think staying up at Primm (Stateline)...

Interest in Bigger Gas Tank for '97+ XJ

From a post in the Tacoma forum, this site was talked about. They are in OZ but they list a tank for '97+, no mods, uses factory sender and is 130 liters, which is about 34 gallons. I am trying to get some info about them but here is the link...

Cool site for trailer or misc. hardward, latches, etc.

Not sure if anyone had seen this site but I found the link form another forum and after checking it out, it has a ton of great hardware at what seems to be fairly good prices. There are latches, gas struts, hinges, etc., etc. http://www.austinhardware.com/ Hope this helps someone out...

    IPF Lights

Damn ExPo  Reading this thread and knowing I was going to need lights in a few months, I ended up ordering 2 pair of lights since you never know what and when Costco have a good deal. Bought my Magellan Crossover GPS there, because of ExPo. Does this madness ever stop???? :D

    New Guy--Introduction

Welcome fellow XJ'er. Lots of good info on this site for building an ExPo rig. If you have not gone there, another great site for XJ only info is http://www.naxja.org. Everything from mild to wild but also a great place to figure out problems. I will caution you about ExPo. This site has...

    Finished Product-

Hey, what's all that white stuff around you??? It really seems to be making the sign hard to read. Someone might miss it and run off the road. That's a bad deal... :hehe: Okay, seriously, your rig came out really nice. When you first were talking about your plans I was thinking it was...

    question's about re-gearing

My recommendation for the 3.73 came from the idea that mpg was somewhat important. The engine running at 3200-3400rpm is not a problem but it hits more in the pocket at these rpms then if you can get it closer to 2500rpm. YMMV (pun intended) :hehe:

Cool seat covers, anyone try them?

Maybe but I am not willing to take a $100 chance. Since 4WP's did not stock them in the store I went to, I could not test fit them. Since for them, it was a special order, no cash returns and I rarely buy from them. If you take the leap, let me know how they work. :jumping:

Cool seat covers, anyone try them?

These pictures were posted on NAXJA and shows how they fit a high back seat (crosspost of pictures, remove if not allowed). My Cherokee has the movable headrests instead of the one piece high backs. After looking at the pictures, I really don't see how the would work on a non high back...
