How is everyone powering their portable fridges?

You can generally implement dual batteries cheaper than a goal zero plus panels. Maybe also look at the ArkPak if you don't want to mod the Vehicle. 5 days without running the vehicle is a big ask without solar, so pick a battery strategy first, then work to find a panel that can integrate to...

are two 5 lb propane tanks enough? do you ever run out?

I thought this too, having gone with the 5-lb tanks that don't get swapped. Turns out lots of places refill propane, when you look around. In fact, tank exchange is a pretty new thing, and there are lots of RVs that don't have exchangeable tanks. Think UHaul, CampingWorld, independent RV...

Anyone have pix of how they mounted solar panels

Any further details on how you routed the wiring down to accommodate the RTT lifting? Happy with the adhesion of the glue? Notice any effects from flush mounting and heat load reducing the panel rating? I have an autohome hardshell and want to do something similar. I can't believe the RTT...

ARB Outback Solution Drawer Organization (show me you set up and load plan)

I'll get some photos of my drawer layout and post them. The new adventure is to get all of the little ditties that help in-drawer organization. Blue Ridge Overland Gear will become a favorite. Tool rolls, kit bags, etc.

ARB Outback Solution Drawer Organization (show me you set up and load plan)

Recovery/tools in the left. Camping stuff in the right. I have the rear electrical system under the passenger forward wing, leaving room for some bulky stuff in the passenger rear wing. Hammocks, etc. The driver side forward wing has the Comms equipment (ham radio body) CB box and fridge power...

Dark Interior, possible to add switch to control dome lights when doors closed?

I mounted some blue LEDs in the overhead console for ambient and tied them into the map light circuit, ahead of the switch. The same could be done in the 2nd row too, IMO Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Lets see your outside shower ideas

Many folks mount the eccotemp In a pelican case and permanently affix it to the trailer, of use a hanging mount for when it's in use. Plenty of examples of that on the Moby1 site and some of the other production trailer co.s.

NC to OR on the TAT in my 4Runner

Loving the trip report... As for the cross rails, think of them as investment - you'll need them anyway if you take the next plunge to a RTT.

2003 Expo-Ready Land Cruiser for Sale - Low Miles, Full Service History,

I wouldn't call it Expo-ready, but rather ready to be Expo'd. Nice rig, there are some folks on the Mud 100 tech forum looking for low mileage rigs... I'd scan there too. GLWS.

    Camp Shower Showdown

Just a follow up on the cold start comments. With my Helton Sunday morning: 45 degree ambient. 62 degree initial engine coolant temp, by the time I got the shower kit out and hooked up (8 mins or so) engine coolant temp was at 150 degrees. Fetched some water from the hose, 52 degrees. First...

    Camp Shower Showdown

For me, it's only about 5 mins for the engine to heat up enough that it would be heating the first circulation round pretty well. if it's that cold, then i'm going for 2 recirculations anyway! Usually, I need to charge batteries from the provisous night's fridge and lighting drain, so it's a...

    Using Fridge/Freezer Without Dual Battery

1Louder hit the high points. I also ran a single battery, but beware using the factory wiring on a cig port in the rear of the truck. The limited gauge will lead to the fridge working a bit harder therefore draining at a higher rate. In the land cruisers there is a rear power port, but many have...

    Post up your drawer/storage system

No, I didn't do a build thread, because I grabbed most of my ideas from the 100 section on Mud. Plenty of well built document rigs there. Yes, it's a pelican tool case. I got it on from a leftover work project, so it was a right time, right place kinda deal. It works pretty well for the job...

Is your Land Cruiser your daily driver?

DD a 2006 100 series. I don't do much daily driving, as I have a slipper commute, but it's the "getter" for all of the errands.

    Post up your drawer/storage system

No issues on smells, wildlife or heat. Just clean it after use. I've cooked a Dutch Oven full of chili and spilled all over the place and still no issues. The partner steel stainless cleans up really nice.

    new helinox chairs :)

The sunset chair I saw somewhere had the storage bag attached via Velcro to the headrest area. You stuff a sweatshirt of something in there and it makes a neck roll or pillow.
