    Pictures of Camp Kitchens

How about a show of spice organization? Not the little mini spice holders you have to refill... I'm talking the full size McCormick-like bottles! I'm struggling to find something cool that keeps them all together, hopefully airtight and slightly compact. Whatcha got Expo?

Anyone familiar with sPod switching device used in vehicles?

I'd agree, for most applications for parallel application under the hood, you wouldn't fuse it. Also, you would winch from the starter battery, but "connect them" using the controller during winching operations. Since you're talking about using the power pack and extending beyond the engine...

    Kitchen Kit/Chuck Box

Just a comment on the pelican. As long as the item is not oversized, you can pay an overweight fee. The upper limit depends on the airline, but I used to regularly travel with a 1660 loaded at 75lbs full of communications gear and generally paid 50 or 100 for overweight. 75 is the general upper...

Anyone familiar with sPod switching device used in vehicles?

    B. All aux loads go off house battery, smart solenoid ensures you don't crash the start battery and keeps them both charged. If something goes wonky, the bias is always to protecting the start battery. I used the National Luna smart solenoid. Kit comes with everything you need including the...

    epic overlanding photgraphy

Maybe not as bright and light as some, but it took some epic overlanding to get to this spot. North Maine Woods at the abandoned locomotives. Allagash Wilderness Waterway.

Plugging AC battery charger into my inverter. Good idea or not?

Why not a battery selectors switch and some heavy duty fuses? Charge right from the alternator? You didn't mention why you'd need to have a DC-DC converter... Is the vehicle 24v? High amperage from a cigarette lighter is never a good idea... They weren't designed for the constant draw and...

Better wire for solar panels -> charge controller?

Also, the proper Anderson crimper is essential to making it easy. I buy the pre-welded connectors in black and red, and got the proper crimper from PowerWerx. That made al, the difference. Good suggestions on the waterproofing and strain relief.

Better wire for solar panels -> charge controller?

I've used direct burial 2-wire cord for some projects in the past. Kind of a rubber jacketed cord - 2/6 maybe. It's been awhile since I did it. A bit more flexible for temporary installations. On that project I did use power poles, but they aren't necessarily waterproof, and got some water...

Awning: Which side? Does it matter.

I did a lot of thinking on this when I just redid my setup. Like Bretthn said, I picked passenger, for similar reasons - picnic, roadside primitive camp, etc. also, since my awning is a 270, for practical reasons I don't have to look at it since it extends forward beyond the roofline into view...

Great idea, inner pockets for the Bambo and stainless inserts is a fabulous idea! Those are usually rattling between the iGT and the bamboo table, so that's better for sure!

    Snow Peak Addiction

I'm sure he'd make it for either since it's just a length adjustment. We talked a few weeks ago when I met him at an overland meetup. I own him a drawing to get an idea of what I was referring to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Snow Peak Addiction

They do, I have one. I find wth the YDR straps and the long table strapped together, It gets tight. I've spoken to the blue ridge overland great about making a bag that has side zips to make t easier to load. If anyone else has interest, I'm sure he could make a couple. Of course, Yuman made...

    Magma Cookware Storage Bag

Talking to Matt from BROG last year at Expo, he still makes them, but they are time consuming. I mentioned they weren't on the web and he stated they have many things usually in stock not on the web. Give them a call. I have one and it's really nice... Contemplating another for this application.

More is definitely better. Alu-Cab Shadow Awn. Funds and logistics finally allowed it. I'm glad I waited for this to become available. The lack of need for poles is amazing.

Heavy gauge wire/cable Crimp or Solder for Offroad use?

With the right tool, I crimp to spec and then use an adhesive shrink wrap to keep things from moving around. I could never get the wire hot enough to get a proper solder job.
