I've been going over and over on how to work my center console modification; do I build my own or buy one like a Tuffy or a Defender lockable. After a bit of research, I found one online from what I believe is CruiserCrap (Toyota bubbas) and sold by Wild Horses 4X4 (Bronco Shop) out of Lodi...
That’s what I want to do. Saw this guy in a Forerunner towing a trailer with his ARB Simpson on it like mine. Perfect place for a tent and I can sleep in the back of the Landy for shorter off-road trips. I like the RTT but hate the weight. Trade off cuz damn they are so nice to sleep in.
Factory NORMAL settings on road! Plus (+) a little IIDTool over on off-road mode when I'm off-road. Dirt roads I stay at NORMAL height in Gravel setting and she drives like a dream. When I need clearance or rock-crawl mode, I use it when I need it! Just my two cents, hope it helps!
Dude......if you park it, then its just being in a tiny home! Only more mobile! hahaha.....just need to buy some property out of cali now and change my residency to Land Rover!
Agreed! Hence my intent to stay near factory angles/size for all, to include my tire size. My research tells me that 5mm is about maximum shift in offset before we start getting into control arm length/angle redesign to increase suspension and steering performance over stock. I am slightly...
Noted, I will attempt this next time. Probably similar to me driving around with the cap and vent open.....lol
Also, for those of you installing O-rings; for just about all components, petroleum jelly is safe for just about every operation (automotive/aviation related!). Just a little dab...
I'm going to use a few Marine cubby doors in my sleeping platform build. They are also very expensive but in the long run, especially in a build like @telwyn, quality is well worth it to meet the rest of the project's standards! Good stuff!
Depending on how fat Victory is loaded up for the trip to the trails, I run around 45psi in my 17" KM2s for the freeway! Amazingly enough, the sidewall that sucks up all the terrain so nicely off the trails, handles really good at heavy weight on the freeway and higher PSI.
Then I air...
Yes Sir! Here is the link to the write-up; hope this helps you out some! PM me if you have any questions or feel free to drop them on the gasket thread since many of us have done this now and found our own little tricks. I'm pretty sure the US LR3 and LR4 are the same but I can't confirm as I...
I would agree with sourcing LR 17" as a first priority for sure over anything else. 18" do not meet my desired goals or needs. The option is to find an aftermarket BMW X5 E53 wheel with the correct load rating confirmed and meets OEM Styling 130 profile. I did find another guy with a set of...
Given the info provided, the style we are looking for is: BMW X5 E53 Styling 130 Wheels.
Thanks for the posts. I’ll probably just paint them after they get get nicked up a bit from the impact. They are trail wheels anyway so I’m not too concerned on looks, just prefer not to have chrome...
Not sure this will help, but check out places like West Marine and other sites like that! I know it is not a genuine LR part if that's what you want, but composite options could be a second choice for you! There is also a place called BoatOutfitters that has a lot of compartmental type storage...
I think I read the same thing. I know it's this style (I have) and there is a five spoke E53 version that was only on for a year or so, I think! Are your Gorilla lugs chrome? I think shiny when I hear chrome, but that is not necessarily the case with lugs as they can just have a sheen to...
Good to know...I am pretty sure I had a set on a previous vehicle with no problems either. I do not want chrome nuts though, brass yes, but chrome no! hahaha
All seriousness, I was just sharing my research on issues the Aussie crew expressed. I am in search of a black set or silver set...
