Got my drawers system about 60% completed... really just the 20 gallon water tank/faucet and the platform created. I will add one big drawer and a smaller one under the fridge to create a larger work surface when camping. I plan on wrapping it in carpet when I am done building and tweaking it...
So I picked up a set of the new Expedition Roller Cam straps about a month ago... all I can say is wow.
This is the strap I have been waiting for. I will do a full write up soon as I can get some good pics. I have been using them for a month straight in a variety of applications. They're...
I ordered up a set, I'll post a quick review when I get them. I was hoping for like a 1' buckle end with loop and a longer loop for the other "side" but it looks like the loop might be one big loop like the original version. Either way, I have an upcoming trip and it was time to jump!
Looks like Rollercam heard our cry... now offering "Expedition" versions all black with looped end (s)? looks like one end is looped the other is sewn? placing an order now.
Thanks @LeftCoastKiteboarding this is what we are thinking too. I have been finding them sub $10k with 200-250k miles on them but otherwise in good shape. When we find the right one I am going to jump. I am in Montana ranch country now and the Fords are prevalent around here, some have been...
Yeah, I am not afraid of an older truck. I do my own work. I daily drove a FJ40 for 15 years so I can turn a wrench if the electronics don't kill me. If a truck has good bones and the motor is strong, the rest is gravy. Preventative maintenance on a 250k mile truck verse a 120k mile truck that...
I am looking at building a bunkhouse on wheels for my family of 5 (my wife and I and three small kiddo's). Think Earth Romer on a working man's budget, or better yet, a dorm room with bunks over the frame and cab.
I have been poking around for a host vehicle and I know I need/desire the...
Nice upgrade. I decided to make a magnetic strip LED light with a long pigtail that I can move around the vehicle as necessary but I really like what you did with the lights over the tailgate. I always thought that'd be the ideal spot but I didn't want to mess with routing another set of wires...
Denver Colorado, soon to be Bozeman, Montana in a month or so.
Tent is in fantastic shape. No rips tears stains or smells. Garage kept, air dried after each trip. Sadly, it went largely unused for its age. 3" foam mattress.
^^^^Hahaha...
Luckily I am only building a Land Cruiser, not a Boeing 747. I am going to be just fine, inspection or not and I am not loosing any sleep over it. I was trying to add to the collective knowlege here on ExPo, didn't know I was starting a "how does NASA make cables for Land...
New price 4/23: asking $10,000 or best reasonable offer.
Come and get it... It is difficult to know how to price this one off hand built trailer but I am starting the price at half the cost of a new comparable Adventure Trailer. All serious cash offers will be considered. Thanks
The time...
