    Hi/Lo range switch FG637

Sorry but none of my manuals cover the vacuum shift so I would say you have to go back to basics. Check all fuses in fuse box in the centre of dash. Relays are behind glove box. I would find the solenoid units and check for current there first. Pull the switch out of the dash and check it, check...

    Hi/Lo range switch FG637

Need a bit more info. Is it a cable shift transfer case and you are having problems with the switch that works the dash lights (this is mounted on the transfer case) or it a vacuum shift and you are having trouble with the dash switch that operates the vacuum solenoid for the vacuum shifters on...

    4d34 turbo advice needed

Not smokey at all, Egts can run into the low 600° preturbo under load below 2000 rpm. Feeding in extra fuel will probably take me back to the trouble I had before with the first turbo as in over fueling at too low a boost. Dan.

    FG649 down on power, slow

Fuel pickup is restricted somehow in the tank causing extra suction on the line and it will be sucking air in at one of the fittings in the line to the primer pump. Fix the pickup and just check all the other fittings are tight and you should be right. It then shouldn't be down on power from...

Nothing visibly wrong with the ported cover but could only get 6psi max boost, change to unported cover and boost in the 10/11psi no other change. Now this is all with waste gate wired shut as we are still looking for more boost. I'm seeing drive pressure up into the early 20s with a boost...

Winch recommendations 2010 FUSO FG 140

I've got a Tigerz 11 20,000lb ( yea I know Chinese but how often do you use it) winch mounted in between the rear rails that is cabled to the front and by pulling a loop of the drum and using a pulley block we can double line out the rear if need be. It's all covered in one of my threads...

I actually had my springs remade by Dobinsons in Rockhampton. Yes it has an extra leaf in the front but also we had them increase the length of the spring from the centre bolt to the rear and gave them more set. This in effect gave me an extra clearance on the bump stops giving a lot better...

Amesz00 is right . This is what I am running at the time being but that will change when I get around to testing another setup that i have in mind. I am happy with it and would certainly go back to it if the other one I try is not as good as I'm hopeing. http://MAMBA GTX Turbocharger TOYOTA...

    GPS- navigation unit or iPad?

I run Ozi-Explorer running Hema maps on a Surface Pro3 mounted on a Ram Pedestal Mount. Use a Garmin Glo bluetooth Gps. Works really well. It's accuracy for me is good enough to pick the right one of two tracks coming of a road within 100 metres of each other. Ozi- Explorer is the program that...

Head Gasket replacement on a FG637EW6 Canter with a 4d33 engine

Don't forget to put a straight edge across the block in a few different places and angles to see if the block is faulty. Not normally but you are this far. Dan.

Head Gasket replacement on a FG637EW6 Canter with a 4d33 engine

I would say without doing any research the one you have is old number and they have new number. Usually if you search the numbers both ways they will cross reference. Leave it to you to try and let us know. Now where is the picture of the problem with the old gasket. Dan.

    MaxTrax, are they worth it?

Not Maxtrax's, the same idea but heavier for our trucks. And yes they are worth it. First video I was intenionally trying to get it bogged down as much as I could. The second video I hadn't let any air out of the tyres as we were just trying to get of the road to camp. Dan.
