Update
I traded the street tires that came with the buRV to a friend for a set of 265x75 r16 B.F. Goodrich T/A's. The T/A's are about %75 worn but he needed new tires and it would allow me to get an idea about size and fit of these size tires.
The tires fit fine with no rubbing and more...
Looks very clean! The price would be high if it had a 350 in it. But with the 454 there is a premium added as us trailer towers need that big block and pay for it.
Heck, I'd buy it to replace my 2001 big block burb.
BTW, I have a third row seat I do not want or need. If a third row seat from...
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time...
My elephants are the Suburban and the jeep. It's not that anything to be done is too big. It's that it all came at once.
The jeep needs tires, top and there is something in there somewhere that will drain the battery in two days.

As someone who has a stock 42 Willys and 95 Wrangler I can tell you the main difference is space for the driver. An average guy will have the steering wheel touching his stomach.
The 95 is clearly more practical as it goes and stops faster but the 42 is a lot more fun.

Would you please measure your fender height from ground at the hubs for me? I'd like to know the height difference between your front and rear to compare with mine.
Are your front shocks tied into the Auto Ride system? I ask because we have almost the same truck (Mine is an 01) and your front end is higher than mine,
The current tires are 30x6.5 with a street tread. Clearly they gotta go.
I'm leaning towards 33x10.5 With the 33 I avoid a host of modifications and lifting the front end. The 07 F250 PSD I just got rid of sunk with a 9in wide tire in sand washes but with the 12.5 they floated along the top...
Tire talk
From what's above 33 in. high without modification or extra strain on steering seems the ticket.
So let's talk tire width. The stock factory rims are narrow and the tread width is 8 in. Narrow is not good in sand. Soooo It needs some width for sand float. Plenty of room in the rear...
zukrider,
When not towing most use will be exploring the Mojave and Sonoran Deserts. Dirt roads from smooth to rough and sandy wash's. No rock crawling. I'm a low speed high drag off roader. :sombrero:
