You are gonna love working on your burb after doing imports. The junk yard and aftermarket have a ton of parts so you can go any direction you want. There's also a ton of room underneath, on top and on the side to get at anything.
What are you going to use it for. Camping, rock crawling...
No doubt about it. Your Sub will tow and haul what you need. As a bonus you can sleep in it when camping. I think you will be happy with the versatility of it.
Have most of the items ticked off and once I get the new radiator in and find the short that drains my battery in a week. I should have a road ready jeep...
Aah, the BroDozer.
No real purpose for it other than the usual male desire show plumage to attract females or impress other males. Both valid and hardwired into our uncivilized brain.
Drive what works for you and don't worry about others. :ylsmoke:
Living in SoCal we are surrounded by steep grades. The Grapevine on I5, the I15 and Chiraco Pass out on the I 10. The kind of grades that have signs advising travelers to turn off the A/C so they don't overheat. You nearly always see overheated vehicles on the side of the road on those passes...
Here's a place to make general comments about your jeep or jeeps in general. The stuff not worth the effort of making a thread for.
I'll start.
Got a few bucks ahead so I ordered a new Besttop factory replacement for the YJ. The instructions were clear. Install when it is above 72 degrees...
Current radiator in my YJ is plastic and cracked. I am thinking that replacing it with an aluminum one instead of another plastic one would be better all around.
Am I missing something or am I on the right track?
Thanks
Update question. Is there any modification needed to use a three core or...
Here's the stock 1942 Marine Corp. Willys MB I've had for decades. Quit driving it about four years ago.
I had way too many jeeps in the yard and am now down to two. I think I'll let this one go eventually.
I think it's generational. My fellow geezer cronies and I all have a mindset of. "If you ain't paying me. I'm not advertising for you."
My son's generation seems to gain an association with a themed product. Clothing, equipment etc. By showing the brand they are part of that tribe.
I don't know how this happened but I'm up to three jeeps and somethings gotta give.
And this one is going. 1993 jeep Wrangler 4X4 with 126361 miles on it. 4.0, 5 spd. manual trans. It runs smooth and cool, engine and trans. have no issues or problems.
Body is straight with no dents. You can...
I've bought two but only have one. Wife took the first G19 so I had to go out and get me another. :sombrero:
I think they are boring but that is overshadowed by their reliability, intuativeness and durability.
SoCal is a pretty big place. If you are in Glendale Kings will do it for $100. You can also check with Ten Percent Firearms in Taft.
Not knowing the details... If you pick it up where it is and bring it back yourself you can then file a New resident in Possession form for $19.00 with the DOJ...
