    A built FG649 at Watagans

I too have watched the Canter for a while, the major difference is that they now have a front locker, whereas initially it was the standard open differential and pretty useless in many situations. And yes, he knows how to drive. The Mercedes driver is getting better, but he is really hampered...

    Winch for off road recovery

I have a steel mount for the bull bar and winch mount, supplied by ATW in Qld mounted onto an Isuzu 75/155 NPS. Their bull bar itself is alloy, considerably lighter than an all steel arrangement and although I have an Isuzu, as far as I understand it, their FUSO version is very similar being a...

    2007 FG-140 - Automatic? Is it possible?

In 2019 when I was shopping around for a truck, I had the pleasure to get a ride in two F series Isuzu trucks which were running Allison automatic transmissions. Both were brand new, one was being taken to the service centre, the other was coming back from the service centre. On the way back I...

    Simple question for SRW owners...

The wheel conversion kit shown above, is from All Terrain Warriors (ATW) in Australia, we have the 17" steel wheel kit. https://allterrainwarriors.com.au/product/17inch-single-wheel-conversion/ If you wish to retain the original load carrying capacity of your light truck, then you will need to...

    Simple question for SRW owners...

Firstly, what is an SRW? Is it a Mitsubishi or a Fuso vehicle? Regardless, here are a some of pictures of the rear wheels of our Isuzu 75-155 4x4 after conversion to super single wheels. You can see the rear brake drum on the inside quite easily. The other picture shows the outside and how they...

    2014 Super singles

Track width, not a problem. Outside to outside measurement is approximately 2040mm. Tyre tread width is around 285mm actual, on these tyres.

    2014 Super singles

The terrain and weight of your vehicle will most likely determine whether you prefer super singles or rear duals. In general we traverse more sandy terrain, duals on the rear are literally a drag. I had the choice of 19½" or 17" super single wheels when the truck was being built. As our travels...

    Aftermarket Isuzu Dash Switches?

My reason for mentioning the Taiwanese manufactured part was nothing to do with quality, just interesting to note that for something so small that requires each other to work, they are manufactured in different countries. I have a 3 phase woodworking lathe which was manufactured in Taiwan, I...

    Aftermarket Isuzu Dash Switches?

Got around to taking a picture of the illuminated push switch kit. Interesting to note the switch is manufactured in Taiwan, while the wiring loom is manufactured in Japan.

    Aftermarket Isuzu Dash Switches?

Talk about topical; today I dropped into my local Isuzu truck dealer to purchase a dashboard switch. The current part number is 1-88434575-0 which is for a switch and harness set. Push type and illuminated. The toggle format version is 188434576-0 and is non illuminated. The kit compromises...

    Damper shock for Stratos seat?

I too think Stratos seat fittings are way overpriced, but then again they are manufactured in NSW. Due to the driver's seat performing badly with unbelievable noise emanating from it whenever the road was anything but glass smooth, the Melbourne office in Dandenong South inspected it and agreed...

1993 Fuso FG Buy or Dont Buy?

I had my memory jogged when I read about reverse having synchromesh or not, when I read this. I then went to the truck and looked up my owner's manual for my February 2020 build Isuzu 75-155 4x4 truck. It has synchromesh in all gears, including reverse. Attached is a picture from my owner's...

Discussion on the 2021 Isuzu/Chevy 6.6L Gas Cabover Platform

Looks pretty good, and I agree, driving an Isuzu NPS does bring a smile to my face as well. You've kept the width down to the minimum on that tray, the front head on view makes me think those are 12" wide tyres, not 13". I suspect that this unit, although derived (I believe) from Isuzu's NPR...

2020 Northstar Liberty - Expedition Truck Camper Build!

That was a pretty good description of how to dismount and mount a slide-on camper with wireless controlled electric jacks. We've had wireless controlled Happijac jacks on our camper for the last 11 years; on our second vehicle with it. We've gone from a ute based vehicle like yours after 9...

Frame flex and type and kind of spring?

I wondered about fixed mounting of a box or tray directly to chassis rails around 50 years ago, it was pretty new to me then but I had only been driving 3 tonne trucks over paddocks with probably around 1½ tonne on the tray at the most; basically things didn't flex and wheels came off the...

Just to ensure anyone looking at this with those tyres, this is the official recall notice with the actual tyre specification code that should enable you to ascertain if you have those exact tyres...

    02 NPS300 spring options?

If you are in Brisbane, then you could consider an ATW conversion to their parabolic spring and shock absorber kit. I have been in a bog standard NPS 300 with original wheels (rear duals) and while the truck can and does go places, jeez hang onto your seat or the steering wheel. Factory demo...

Who makes the 17" rims for ISUZU NPS truck?

Pardon my ignorance, but what is an ATW Scout? If you are doing a lot of sand, going wider may or may not be the best option. In another life using military vehicles, narrower tyres with a big radius and quite lowered pressure, was a slightly better proposition than fat(ter) smaller radius...

Who makes the 17" rims for ISUZU NPS truck?

Well I don't know who actually manufactures the rims, so I went outside and took a picture and this is what is stamped on my rims. Edit: the load rating for these rims is 1950kg, which on the current NPS 75/155 restricts the GVM to 7000kg, down from the chassis build GVM of 7500kg.
