I believe it's a '91, but PO wasn't sure. Could be a '92 or '93.
Do you mean an adaptor to mount a LR temp sensor to the 6.2 block? Or an adaptor to attach GMC sensor to LR temp gauge?
I'm currently running gauge to the stock sensor location, driver's side in front and below valve cover...
Sweet!
Hey Eric, what kind of coolant temp sensor are you using? I have a Sunpro gauge that's now baselining at 160F so I need to change it. Did you find a way to hook yours up to the stock temp gauge?
Hey Eric,
I'm also thinking about putting AC in -- problem is the only available pulley is the one on the vaccum pump... and there's no way to put the compressor on that side of the engine as far as I can tell. It would have to go on the passenger side, but then there's no pulley access... Any...
The Chevy 3 core I have in there looks like crap because I had to cut out the passenger side battery tray. Then I had to relocate that battery to where the windshield washer reservoir is -- and then I have to run battery cables across the entire engine to hook up the 2nd battery (driverside...
Right now it's just direct drive fan off the main pulley. The fan is small and I can't go bigger because it'll hit the frame crossmember. No shroud.
This week I'm going radiator shopping.
6.2 guys are saying with headers they're seeing up to 2mpg more... but I gotta fix my heat problems first.
Before you go the NV4500 route, make sure the R380 wont hold up. With 24 splines and a GM clutch - like I have - you might be surprised.
Now 42"s ... Different story...
Great, would love to try the Volvo fan.
I took the thermostat out completely. I tried three different 6.2 thermostats and none of them were opening fully. What's the part # on the thermostat you used?
My first radiator was a 4-core alumnium radiator and it worked fine on flat, like you said...
Yours has 948 miles too? :Wow1: :ylsmoke: (Just joshin')
:violent-smiley-031::eek::smilies27:yikes::hehe:
You must've missed the part I wrote about the SD -- they are not easy to come by unless you happen to live near someone who has one. Good luck finding one! :)
Why not an OM616 instead of the 617?
Easily one of the best small diesels ever made vis a vis longevity -- it would motor my 4-speed 240D (heavy! 3800 lbs!) down the highway at 70 pretty easily. Not great acceleration, but not terrible either.
Thought I'd start myself a thread regarding the 2004 DII SE7 Trail Badge I just purchased from Dendy (nashvillerover). I'm sure I won't be able to resist building it to some extent so I'll keep this as a placeholder for future comments and pictures.
I wasn't looking for another Rover as I've...
255/45R18 I think, I'll double check.
Won't be able to move the Pirellis right away and I'd prefer to sell them with the Hurricane wheels too. I'd cut you a deal of course assuming you were interested in the tires & wheels
