    Currently stranded in CO

An awesome forum friend is picking up a 6.2L radiator in ABQ and driving it up to me. Hope it fits... it's 19 1/2" tall... my custom radiator is 17 3/8... so I put a can of Skoal (2.5" diameter) on top of mine and slammed the hood down... it didn't crush the skoal can so I think there's room...

Think the stock '95 3.9 radiator will have enough juice to cool a 8 cyl NA diesel? It's a 3 core, same as the radiator I have now. Stock 6.2L radiator is about 2 inches too wide :(

Fan is good. Motor mounts are good. I ran the engine past 300 degrees for about 15 minutes trying to get back to pavement. It was sizzling good, but gaskets look okay and it starts and runs fine. No sounds to indicate cracked head or block or crankshaft. Tow guy agreed I might've dodged a...

Hey guys, was wheeling in Great Sand Dunes Natl Park. Cooling fan went through radiator, lost all coolant. Had to pay $1000 to get towed to Alamosa, CO, where I am now. I need to be back in GA next Monday. Any ideas what I can do about the radiator? Its in a custom frame and the motor is a 6.2...

    Thanks to Columbia Overland

Just a shout-out to Columbia Overland: On three occasions I ping'd you about different parts you had for sale, and received prompt replies each time. But I never ordered anything. Recently I needed some basic driving lights and a recovery strap -- I shopped around a little bit and found your...

    Death wobble...?!

Okay, invoice in hand now... Panhard rod in parts column, torsion bar in labor portion. Alignment and tire rotation as well. Did a twenty mile test ride at 80mph and she floats along like a butterfly. Steering box is much tighter and more responsive than I'm accustomed to. I'm happy.

    Death wobble...?!

Heh, fair enough. I should've prefaced my post by saying I got a call from the shop's secretary/billing lady saying the truck was ready -- I asked her what the diagnosis was and she told me "Hmm...looks like 2 torsion bar bushings." I interpreted that to be a catch all for linkage stuff since it...

    Cleaned and Painted Undercarriage

Any areas you felt you needed to avoid? How many cans of degreaser/rustoleum did it take? Any other tips? I'm very interested in doing this myself.

    Death wobble...?!

Well, I can't make heads or tails of it. There isn't a component in the front end that sticks out. Everything looks good and tight. The left panhard rod bushing looks a little rough, but I simply don't have the expertise to make a solid diagnosis. I certainly don't have the knowledge/space/tools...
