I like the shape. What I don't like is the plastic Baja Rack piece -- I assume those are bolts holding it in place? Can it be removed easily? Is the Baja Rack logo vinyl? Or stenciled paint?

I spent my entire 12 month deployment looking for a good D90/D110. I was going to come back with a grip of cash and was ready to sink it into a Defender. You can do well for $25k-$28k, but $20k means it's either high mileage (like >150k mi), rashed up, or there is something "weird" going on...

The medium OMEs are pretty mild lift -- 1.5" or so. That's what I wanted originally, but the HD stance looks too good for me to hassle with changing it. Check out the link in my sig line (6.2) to see how a ~3" lift looks. It's very civilized and handles great in town and at interstate speeds...

Dude, nice. As a D1 owner shopping for roof racks this is definitely on my list of considerations. The price is right, too. I like how you followed the lines of the Disco roof; this reminds me of the increasingly hard to find SD and CT racks. Much more flattering than the Hannibal style...

Not much, probably to the owner's chagrin. People want to charge more for the XDs but you're just getting a different paint code. If it's super clean probably $4k-$5k.

I guess I was acting spoiled by being disappointed with 22mpg -- my 3.9 D1 got about 180-200 miles to a tank around town, 300ish highway and that was totally stock. Ridiculous. I got a line on a Camel Trophy rack -- just gotta figure out how to get it shipped without breaking the bank.

Well, I feel like a snorkel is just one of these you-never-need-it-until-it's-too-late type of mods. It's relatively inexpensive and offers some peace of mind. I'd hate to be looking back on a situation where a $450 snorkel would've saved me from buying a new motor. :snorkel: They look cool...
