    Project Victory_Overland 08 LR3 Build Thread!

It's still in the works with my buddy who lives in NorCal, I owe him some measurements for the winch plate (it will be steel of course) to the frame. I decided on aluminum when I found out how heavy these front steel bumpers were forward of the axle. When I put my rig up on the blocks to...

    LR3 Front bumper options

TR front and Rear installed I have both TR Front and Rear bumpers and love them. My install was simple and I did it alone with my cheap motorcycle jack. I have a pretty good write up on my build thread below for install of the front and rears. Again, my install was simple, straight to the...

    LR3 Sliders info

I just put a set in my cart and waiting on my shipping quote to Hawaii for all my brake parts and steering parts. Might have to have those sliders sent to Cali and put on the shelf at my house there until I move back next year......haha

Thinking of replacing all rubber in rear suspension on LR3

Did you go with the RRS control arms? Do you mind posting up an average cost plus shipping for the full lot? You can PM me if needed. I plan to do the same on my 08 LR3 here shortly so I am going to start ordering parts soon. Mahaloz from Hawaii, E

Jaguar Land Rover a huge loser in potential new border tax

Love how everyone is critiquing what has been done in just about every country besides the US either overtly or under the rug! Lol Nothing "free" about free trade no matter what direction and who's border it's coming accrossed.

How many miles is "too many" for an LR3

Haha. I'm getting ready to start my control arm ordering fiasco.......sure doesn't feel brand new! I love my Landy though. TLC and she's always good to me.

    LR3 / Discovery 3 Coil Conversion +2" Question

You can run a momentary switch or a pressure switch to a solenoid. Push the button (lift) and it will run until it reaches whatever pressure you have it set to and then shut off. I am sure you could make it autofill since most newer performance or lowrider set ups run automatically and remain...

How many miles is "too many" for an LR3

2008, just turned 89,000 and running strong! :wings: I'll let you know if I make it to anywhere near what these other owners have made!:smiley_drive:

    LR3 / Discovery 3 Coil Conversion +2" Question

Leave the tank, upgrade the compressor (if needed) and leave it for onboard demand air for tires and basic tools. Just my two cents! Not sure how or if it would work but a simple switch to the compressor on/off into the cab should work fine.

    Project Victory_Overland 08 LR3 Build Thread!

Well I guess I should be thankful this is my first one to be replaced. I'm heading back to Hawaii just befor the new year so I'll be looking then to get it done. The one advantage I have is that we have great weather so I do not have to worry about the cold for the install concerns. I'll keep...

    Project Victory_Overland 08 LR3 Build Thread!

Yeah I have a heated one and I'm thinking since I'm gonna pay the deductible at this point I'm going factory option only. I took a rock to the window directly in my vision and the last time I had a glass fill repair it looked like crap. I'm guessing this one will be no different. Thanks for...

New windshield Aloha all. I have a broken windshield in my LR3. Can anyone confirm Safetlight is a heated windshield OEM to the factory LR3 window? My insurance covers safelight or deductible for factory replacement. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. Mahalo

NAS LR3 build with an overseas twist

I drive with my Nakatenga vents all the time. If I know I am going to be on the freeway, then I remove them as they can be a bit noisy. Lower speeds around 45 mph or so are just fine. You obviously hear road noise outside the vehicle and some wind noise but not bad. Ventilation is nice but...

    Project Victory_Overland 08 LR3 Build Thread!

Thanks Ian! Looks like I might have a dash board removal in the future if I want to fix this. I might see if I can get to the door through the glovebox and run high compressed air into the doorway and see if dust or gunk is the issue. First thing will be to see if something fell out of the...

What a beauty! In true fashion, I love all classic 4x4 as much as I love the LR line up. Passed this classic FJ60 on the H3 freeway on Oahu today.......unbelievably clean, super classy and ************ 4x4 Yota. Just thought I would pass it on!

LR3 seat dye/restoration using furniture clinic (before/after pics inside)

I do not remember the process, conditioner first or pristine clean first! I will look tomorrow when I get home and repost. Not sure what you climate is right now but if you can get the conditioner on and soaking in the hot sun or heater on it really opens up the pores in the leather after...

LR3 seat dye/restoration using furniture clinic (before/after pics inside)

I had a nasty stain in my second row seat and the Leatherique kit took it right out. Can't confirm what the stain was but it wouldn't come out any other way. I've also heard of wet sanding the top layer of the leather and then using Leatherique and buffing. Leatherique also made my front seats...

    2017 LR Discovery details

Well, like I said "Out of the box, the LR is ready for the trail or family weekend adventure far more than a Jeep on day one IMO!" is solely my opinion. I fly back and forth from Oahu to the Big Island fairly frequently for work. When on the BI, I drive a Jeep. I play on-road, and off-road...

Disco 3 A frame front guard

I actually like the bolted bar since you can remove it and if damage does take place its an easier repair if the inserts on the bumper don't rip out. Correct though, not as strong as the welded and sleeved route for most bull bumpers. I still do not plan to use my bumper to rock crawl or...
