    Kenwood DNX 7100 Questions

It does look like a good alternative, but you still have to mount it after you pay the $1000 for another pc. I already have a laptop and don't need another. Also, I don't think it runs Garmin, which is the nicest thing about the Kenwood unit. I guess it just a matter of preference and ascetics.

Does your spare need to be the same size?

One more humble opinion... I ran with a used spare for several years when I ran 305's. I did bite the bullet recently and went with a brand new spare tire and wheel when I went to 19.5's. What a pain as I had to reroute the exhaust in front of the tire, but now I feel more confident knowing...

    WTB: Engel or ARB Fridge

I'm looking for a nearly new or very good condition Engel or ARB fridge/freezer around the 45 quart range. Anyone have one they would be willing to part with? I'll also need a cover and slide if you have it as well, or I'll just buy it later. I'm sure someone out there has one they never use...

    FS: Honda EU1000i Generator

I researched this issue very thoroughly several years ago. A typical roof top AC unit draws at least 9-10 amps and when running and much more upon initial start up. Some people have been able to start up and run a low power unit on a 2000 watt generator and I ended up using a Yamaha 3000efi to...

    Alaskan Camper Build Up

Some interesting posts recently... Well moving on, here is the latest addition to the camper after passing my Technician Amateur Radio Exam yesterday: Yaesu 7800 radio with custom install with radio itself tucked behind the stereo to the right using the remote install kit. Thanks Jarrett...

2 meter vanity plate question - CA

As far as I know, you never let your plates go. At least in Colorado and I believe California to. You bought them and there yours for keeps.

05+ Tacoma On Board Air On The Cheap

That is pretty cool, I don't know if it will fit under my hood though. It's pretty tight on the 6.0 Ford, but I will go look again.

Between glare, risk of damage from road debris and weight, I would think it was a very poor location.

    Ham Radio Programming

If you go to the Yaesu website you can download the manual in pdf form that you can print for a 3 ring binder. I'm going to do the same so I can read it a little easier and have it protected as well.

    New propane tank worries...

Purging a new tank is critical as you have discovered! Take that one back and get one w/o crap inside it as it will always bother you, it would bother me at least.
