    Alaskan Camper Build Up

Sorry about the slow response time Haven, but it's been a busy week selling my old camper. At this point, with the suspension upgrades I have made, I feel my truck is adequate for the load we are carrying. when I go to replace this truck down the road I feel that I will probably get an F350...

ER 9,000 mile '08 demo for sale?

The only real disadvantage other than the height, weight and too much bling is the nearly 1/4 million dollars they want for it.

    Alaskan Camper Build Up

The linear actuator to lift and lower the flat screen is finally installed and working. The biggest pain was getting the limiters in place and wired correctly. Every expedition camper should have one of these! Check out the link for a video of the flat screen in action. Sorry about the video...

    Alaskan Camper Build Up

I had to have my exhaust rerouted yesterday so that the spare to match the rest of the tires would fit. It was just a little too tight to run the exhaust past the tire.

Ultimate Expedition Audio / Video System

Jay, it looks like you have covered pretty much everything I put in an AV system for any ultra cool camper. Are you going to tie in any type of VHF/Ham system or leave it separate?

    Alaskan Camper Build Up

Fully loaded weight with a full tank of fuel, water, etc two adults and a dog is very close to 13,000 lbs per scale. The local Ford dealer couldn't lift the truck off the ground with it's lift... No, it's not a light weight, but that was never my goal. What do you do, leave some toys at...

RECOMMENDED - "Easy Curtains" for your truck

They look really nice, how are they for insulating out the cold in winter or keeping the cab from getting too hot in the summer? I'm currently using the silver material in all the windows and it does a mediocre job at insulation.

    Alaskan Camper Build Up

I'm supposed to get 80 to 100K on these instead of the usual 25 to 30k I have been getting. They feel more solid with the camper over them already after only a few miles, they should as their rated for 5500 lbs each. I hope they send the center caps soon, they look incomplete...

    Alaskan Camper Build Up

Well since the truck and camper are so heavy I finally broke down and went with commercial tires and wheels. Goodyear G124 tires in 265/70 19.5" with Vision 19.5" wheels. Look and ride great, rub a bit when turning the wheel all the way. The tires are a little taller, but narrower than the...

    Taser M18L

My latest acquisition, legal in most States, not considered a firearm and therefore legal in parks. Great for trail running too! I just need to figure out a way to carry while running that won't bounce all over the place yet will not be conspicuous.

Welcome to the site and cool Jeep. Question, what is the dog doing to the vehicle in the first picture and how did he end up in a matching sweater?
