I'm in a similar spot with my 2014 but under 100k.
Just routine maintenance (brakes, fluids, plugs)and new rear springs. But it's a losing battle with rust.
Do I sell it now while it's worth something and hope next spring trucks have come down in price/better availability?
Or do I run it until...
That's pretty good fuel economy in my books when towing.
110kph? If I dog it at 90-100 I could probably see 16l/100. If it isn't windy and I'm doing 110 I'm around 18l/100.
The extra gears and that your power band is lower and the torque on tap earlier with the EB will help and it has a taller...
My 14 F150 3.7 on "34s" towing our Escape 19 trailer that weighs under 5000# and a slight incline and delightful head wind has me getting 9.8 MPG whatever 23.5 l/100 works out to
Unloaded with just my shell and nothing on the roof rack I can see 19 MPG.
Can't cheat physics.
Load up an Ecoboost...
Yeah break over is the biggest issue.
I have RCI 1/4" aluminum skid plates and it's a good thing. That's the second hit I've taken there.
I can't imagine an even longer wheelbase than 145 without significantly larger tires
F150 Supercab 6.5' bed is 145" wheelbase.
Supercrew 5.5' bed is the same.
I seldom need to drive people longer than a couple hours sitting in the back of my Supercab, which has way more room than an extended cab Tacoma. How tall are your family members and friends who tag along?
The supercrew...
I live in a miserable dumpster of a city that's isolated from any other large urban centers. The farther you go from this cess pool, the safer you are.
It's no guarantee of course, but one of the reasons I like camping and being outdoors away from the only major city in my province.
I've been...
I really hope real people start getting these things and soon so we can see how they hold up in the real world.
Especially with long weekend camping adventures etc.
I like this one. Layout much nicer than a taxa mantis. Toilet, lots of water, fridge, regular propane tank.
Getting to be a real expensive hobby, with the price for all these trailers though.
A little late since.you went with a heavy duty truck.
And, it's a hybrid F150 and not a Tundra, but I think the two are similar enough to draw some vague conclusions.
Friend and associate has an F150 Power boost with crew cab and 6.5 bed with a contractor grade aluminum topper with roof rack...
My issue here are
#1 no pro in Canada, high 80s for ER XLT
#2 I can't use a CCSB for work
#3 they don't exist/aren't available regardless if you have 100k lying around.
The Transit EV was so close, but 10x mile range in best case scenario stops me from picking up cabin country jobs.
170km ish...
It's super disappointing the price point of the mainstream stuff
Locally R-POD was 25, 26, then 29k etc and in the USA at the time I had 25 as the low price, I was seeing them as low as 14k which is a lot more reasonable for the quality.
Mass production and scale for motor vehicles does not at...
