    Unimog 6x6 for overlanding

Mogs are killer. But I think it heavily depends on your location and where you plan to go/do. I constantly go back and forth between wanting to complete my F350 build, or put that cash into the trusty TJ instead.... Maybe consider what you actually will do rather than what you 'want' to do.

    7.3 question

Alliant power makes some good options. 160's are a decent compromise in power/reliability. Also check into BD performance trans. I had mine replaced a couple years ago at 250K before it fully died, and have been happy with the replacement. Stiffer shifting, but much stronger components...

    6.8 Triton experiences

Looking to see if anyone has any suggestions on this engine. It's in a 04 chinook that I am looking at. I'm unfamiliar with this engine - wish it was a diesel instead but that can change later. Any major issues with these??

    custom campers

Aside from locating and rebuilding an old camper - if the right one could be found, does anyone have suggestions for any companies that actually hold true to making custom campers, not at the earth roamer cost? Nothing crazy. Thus far, the only company I have found that is actually willing...

    Destination Unknown - a 1997 F350 build

Dad visited for a week - we decided to take his truck for a several hundred mile trip instead of mine, since it's full of nice conveniences.

OBS ford with '08-'16 rear springs

Just saw this. New product? Currently have RSK with rear shackle flip and SD springs on a 4" lift. But certainly not the 8" longer rear springs. ANyone with experiences? Considering this in the future, along with a reduction in height to a 2", and 33's instead of 35's if it makes the ride...

    porta toilets

I'm sure theres already been a comparison somewhere, didn't see one so...trying to compare a couple options. Inside toilet options for me are highly desirable due to, well, issues. Especially when it's below 0 outside. These are the only real options I can think of for the back of a truck...

Ford IDI Diesel Fired Coolant Heater Plumbing (Webasto/Espar)

I thought these heaters had a circulating pump built into them?? also....assuming they are meant to handle the pressures of a cooling system, or do they need to be isolated. I know a lot of people use them but rarely see how people actually install them.

    Thoughts on No Boundaries

I think the only way a family of 5 is going to really camp, in the winter, in the same rig, is in a motorhome... I dont think a 'off road' trailer for that large of a family is ever going to actually be off road.

What generation 7.3L F250/F350 is better to start with?

Interesting, you are honestly the first person I've heard say that... My '97 D60 with 4" RSK up front and shackle flip out back with SD springs rides way nicer than my dad's brand new ram 3500, and my 2017 ram 2500 work truck.... maybe it's the shocks your using?

Mojave Gladiator - Desert Rated Jeeps

this was a great read! I have hopes they might offer another future 'package' which would include the benefits of the Mojave plus front lockers and disconnects. Especially seeing as how that's what people would likely do, and want, anyway. Still waiting to see the diesel option though...

Good ol' tire discussion - considering 2 options

I'm still running a factory 15" rim. which only has a 12.5 width unfortunately. But it is nice to know that is an option and that the ride good!!

Good ol' tire discussion - considering 2 options

Good point for sure. A E rated tire on a TJ would not be so fun ha. Both the duratracs and KO2's are a C range though in the 31x10.5, 33x12.5, 33x10.5 (ko2 only), and even. It is such a surprising struggle to find many 33x10.5 options especially considering how many people want that size...

Ford IDI Diesel Fired Coolant Heater Plumbing (Webasto/Espar)

I have been wanting to put one in my rig as well. I think you would like the idea of the inlet and outlet being a direct T inline to the heater hose itself. The only issue would be finding which side of the heater core (inlet or outlet) is what you want. I think it would be awesome to have it...

    Best Jeeps for Overland Travel

After trying a couple different configurations myself I also think the diesel gladiator is the best 'all around' option. jack of all, master of none. but like others say, depends on what you want. in some cases, maybe a motorhome is best, just for sake of discussion.
