Great pics and write up....
While I respect the snakes and spiders I prefer to not see them :)
I was in the area a few years ago , looks like I need to get the family back out there.
Thanks for taking us along.
1970 Suburban, low sleep platform that just clears wheel wells and gives us plenty of room to sit up.
Then again it is just wife and I inside, kid uses a hammock.
We also have a side awning with walls that makes a changing room and rain escape/shade, that really helps.
great info to about, thanks....
I am at SEMA right now with my sons but as soon as we get home I am sure Nick and I will have some good chatter about all this....
It is so easy walking around this show to just think about dropping a LS package in...but then reality sets in and I realize I can...
I hope to get pics tomorrow to post up...

Huge thanks to Todd, Kurt and Scotty for the leads & contacts, we met some and make contact with others...
So I got my TT-1 WB (wide band O2) hooked up and I admit it does make it very interesting to see a deeper view of what is going on.
After a few more runs and meeting up with a buddy who actually understands what much of this data means I am getting a much better running setup.
Here is my...
Todd that would be huge...thanks and Martin is looking forward to joining us in Baja for the Mexican 1000
Martin is very interested in Formula SAE, he went down and talked to the current ASU Formula team last Saturday to see if he could source them anything at SEMA.

For me the Hytec was for thermal....
I used a spray gun and contact glue (upholstry type stuff) over the rough latex to help my FatMat stick..that gave me sound dampening
Then the alum bubble wrap from Home Depot went on with another coat of the contact glue.
All that has held on great to the...
Here are the cam specs if anyone was curious

The latest efforts are all on me...well I am pretty sure Nick will be wrenching on this thing sooner or later....like when it reset my dizzy before I started my new insanity.
So rather than keep sending chips to Howell for PROM burning I figured I might try learn DIY ECM tuning...scary.

I bought the generic Hytec stuff which has the ceramic micro-spheres in latex...
done 2 rigs and loved it
I can really tell a difference, used that stuff, then FatMat, then reflextic alum bubble wrap. Brutal Arizona heat not a problem

Still haven't finished my "prototype" center console but happy with the nav :)
The burb had fun running Utah with friends Bill, Larry, Tony and more...
Still great to...
I really enjoy using the Harbor Freight grey floor mats...
With a coupon they are $7 and since I use them on my sleep platform in the back of the burb they are ready and waiting to be a trail repair mat. The 1in thick foam keeps rocks from being an issue and I can use the on board air to dust...
