Question about getting fuel at cattle stations like this... Do they have to sell fuel to you? Is it expected or do you just ask & hope? Are the cost much higher since there is no other option? I am loving this read so please keep it going, thanks

A 4runner will push your budget to find a nice one...while a XJ Cherokee will be very nice at that price and maybe leave you money to put on tires or baseline the maint.

I am with Kurt on this one.. I have the ARB and it is all I will use, I played with the Titan just enough to know I didn't think it held a candle to the ARB. Oh and if you are worried about rig wgt, well my old beat up ARB lifted the front of an 11,000 lb Sportsmobile :)

We have long been joking about doing a cool end of the world trip.. Making it in Mexico as part of the Mayan thing is super cool. Me & mine are in depending on the dates...I would want to make it worth the doing (as in not too fast a trip) but no way to make it more than 3-4 weeks without...

I remember those from when I was a kid... didn't work well then but it was all we had until we built a York setup on one of the ranch trucks Now as someone else said the $50ish or whatever MV50 is such a great deal nothing else is worth messing with.
