Space for four people to sleep comfortably is starting to get big. Are you wanting to tow off-road on rough trails or park in state parks, forest service land, etc?
If off-road isn’t the intent I’d recommend this. Plenty of room for everyone, not huge as far as trailers go, one of the higher...
Evidently it’s not available for Alaska. I put in a friend’s address in WA and it shows the discount coming up but when I change back to my address it’s not there anymore.
Where do you see that? It just shows $499 (discounted from $599) for me, even with Walmart+. A bunch of other items show a discount pending for 8 July but not the Starlink kit.
Also runs fine and can stream 4k YouTube videos off my portable power bank with a 65w PD output. I’m going to fully charge it and see how long it can last.
Compact, lightweight, simple and fast. Not much to complain about. I have a USB-C 20v PD to DC barrel and a 12v cigarette plug to DC barrel adapters on the way to see if I can pull DC power direct rather than converting from 120v ac.
It does look like pausing the plan is an option, at least...

The irony is that EVs powered by coal power plants still produce less lifetime emissions than an equivalent ICE vehicle, from mining of raw materials through to disposal of the end product.
Are you and your dog hanging 18” off the back of the hitch and bouncing off bumps in the road at 50mph+? There’s a huge difference between static load on a ball and the weight in motion with an extended arm. As a static load that works out to about three times the force acting on the point where...
I haven’t had any issues with speed constraints even with a number of other users in the same campground/area.
The Starlink FAQ says the mini roam plan can’t be paused but this screenshot from my app still shows the same pause service slider the normal roam plans have. I’ll be out of town when...
The risk isn’t to the extension, it’s to the hitch and mounting hardware. Those components are rated for weight acting on a short arm. Adding the leverage of an extension reduces that rating significantly.
I’ll let you guys know how it works out. I had previously been paying $145 for the grandfathered Standard+portability plan but switched to the discounted $90 residential rate once I stopped being a homeless bum traveling in my trailer. Adding the Mini plan is still decently priced and is a much...
