I didn't watch the video. How often, if ever, did you inspect your mounting hardware? Hard to fault something for loosening up or eventually failing if it's subjected to rough road vibration and no maintenance.
Double check that you can still get your preorder price discount with the gen 2 vehicle. I seem to recall reading that the discount had to be used prior to 30 Sept and was only valid for a gen 1 from the R1 Shop.
How large of a battery bank do you want to charge and in how long of a drive? My trucks have typically charged the trailer batteries at around 7AH and coupled with the solar panels that continue to work it isn’t uncommon to see a 30AH+ charge rate while driving on sunny days.
I’ve been using Starlink for almost four years and partial obstruction due to trees won’t be an issue for your usage. The drop in connection is only noticeable when doing something like a video call or online gaming.
If there’s no cell signal that won’t work, just like your phone. The benefit is that it can connect to multiple service providers so if your Verizon phone has no service but there’s an ATT tower it would probably still work. Their advertising doesn’t say what networks they can use so that would...
Cram as much driving as possible into Houston to Fort St John, there's not a whole lot of scenery to take in on that part of the drive. I'm talking 16 hour days, just crush it out and free up time to enjoy the good stuff in the coming days. Leaving Anchorage I'd suggest continuing past Fairbanks...
While you're rewiring your batteries is a perfect time to add a Victron smart shunt. After you set it up you will have no questions again about what your battery capacity is, how much charge your solar is inputting or how much draw anything in the trailer is pulling out of the batteries.

Car/truck camping with my larger tent I always put a tarp under it and a moving blanket inside of it. The floor is what wears out first in almost all tents, might as well protect it. Pretty much the same idea when using a footprint with my ultralight backpacking tent just on a larger/heavier...
That really depends on the manufacturer. Tesla and Ford are really bad about range specs while Rivian, Audi and Porsche are either accurate or real world range exceeds rated range.
Charge times across the board are accurate as that’s just simple math. The idea that they are inaccurate comes...
I’d say an inexpensive 50-100w flexible panel that you can easily bungee cord around the boat throughout the day to keep a constant charge going would be ideal. Simple to move around to keep in the sun, lightweight and more usable while you fish unlike a rigid folding panel.
The Rivian traction control software isn’t that great though. There were a lot of times off-road that I would have preferred a traditionally locking differential setup. Of course it’s all updatable with software so it should continuously get better over time. On paper a quad motor is excellent...
I used to solve that by ratchet strapping the axle to the frame and then jacking the truck up. Works great as long as you don’t need the suspension drooped to fix something.
They've been around for a long time. Definitely way easier to use than a bottle jack with stacks of wood underneath it to actually lift high enough but not worth it for me. I'll spend more time and hassle and save $300 doing so.
All good. My experience with that for a trailer coming from a state that didn’t title them to a state with titles was pretty simple. Just required a standard title application with the bill of sale and any supporting documents and then I was issued a new title.
