That is nice but no windows please.. And at that price, plus the 4x4 conversion costs, puts me in that upper price range where I might as well wait and travel for the perfect van.
The 6 liter is hit and miss. My bud has one and no regrets he says.. He had to pull the cab to do the studs etc...
I just talked to a guy with 410K on a 7.3 and read about a few over 500k.. but I feel its fairly rare. Not for a cummins though. The ram falls apart around it though.
Iv been dismissing the 6.0vans and don't know much about converting a duramax van. Narrows down the eligible van list real...
Iv been looking for one of those as well.. No dice. All of the 1 ton ford 2wd were well over 200k and yes I know they have been known to run half a million.. But Iv got a high limit of 175k for a 7.3 cuz of the cavitation issue. Throw away engines when time for rebuild due to the thin cylinder...
Iv been searching for a 4x4 van. Not a easy task. Sure I found old gassers within 500 miles of me.. But I really need a diesel to pull my camper so Im wondering what it would take for a diesel swap bla bla bla..
Has anyone seen a kit or project where the rear cab wall on a truck...
lol WHAT?
Exactly..
I need a 4x4 E350 cargo, not passenger, capable of pulling a 10000 lb toyhauler. So it would need to have a V10, 460 or 7.3 and towing package. Would a E250 be capable if it had the big engines?
Its a good thing I don't need to buy a 4x4 van any time soon, but I...
Iv made a few offers on 4x4 vans.. Isn't easy finding the elusive 4x4 cargo able to haul 10K. Many sellers dont even take me seriously when they find out I'm out of state. And the ones that do usually end up offended by my offer.
So my formula is pretty straight forward and fair in my mind...
Nice work!
Iv kind of given up on this idea.. But who knows.. I may never find the e350 4x4 van I need to haul it with and resort back. But filling the wheel wells on mine represent the biggest issue with axle relocation. And then a tag axle
I'm looking at a older 1/2 ton quigley ford which has a 351 4speed.
I was wondering if when quigley did their conversion, did the gear they installed have the same rating as the original Van? Or did quigley turn all the vans into 1 ton?
Thanks
Thanks for the report. I was thinking about calling him after he never replied to my email questions. Allot of people wont respond by mail. I first figured it was a inconvenience to have to write.. But now I believe most of them are illiterate. :ylsmoke:
Is this death wobble typical for quigley's? Certain years?
Im looking at a 2004 E350 wondering if it may need additional work to cure a known potentially dangerous issue.
Or is this death wobble isolated to a small percentage of quigleys/pathfinders/home made's?
Thanks
Yup.. Bunch of money and time. I feel its worth around 2K But last time I offered what I thought it was worth,, I thought the owner was going to show up and try to kick my ***..
I found a 4x4 dodge with a 400 I maybe interested in..
The owner says it wanders. Not good since I need to pull a 8K lb TT. He didn't know who converted it.
What would it take to lower this? Owner says 4" blocks can be removed but the shocks would be to long. Other than smaller road...
Iv taken a solo two week trip into Colorado pitkin area with my new toyhauler which I loved. But my truck didn't perform well enough. I also noticed that the 30' length of my TH limited me greatly on dispersed camping sites. So thats why I need more power and another bed when I decide to...
Thanks Bob.
Standing up isn't much of a issue for me since Id rather be outside having fun and hanging out around the fire. I only need it for sleeping and when the weather gets bad if I'm away from my toy-hauler.
I would have figured other camper owners would have added more advantages...
Iv been searching for a 4x4 van with enough power to pull my 8000 lb TT up mountain passes. I have a 4x4 gmc truck with 6.2 n/a diesel but it didn't have the power I need to keep up with traffic. 15 mph up the passes. Also want something I can take deeper into the sticks than a 24' TT will...
