    Looking for AT Tires

Do you need winter traction at all? My dad's truck has the trailrunner AT (13 ram QC 4x4) and they had significantly less traction on snow and ice than my BFG K02 on my F150. It was a cold weekend, -25 Celsius, and I borrowed his truck to tow my work trailer for a couple days while my truck was...

    Multi purpose F-150

Can you show me pics of how the ARB mounts to the rack? I've been thinking of an awning for my Fiddy. I have two cross bars on my topper and was going to put a length wise piece across of needed but not sure how those mount at all.

Research/ Experience &Concern about Trailer Manufacturer Response

While I don't believe it will tick enough of your boxes, particularly AC, off road robustness, and business model, i have been excited by Trailmarker outdoors. I require a trailer that can can stand up in, has storage space, a space to eat and sleep, room for a fridge etc. And that can handle...

Research/ Experience &Concern about Trailer Manufacturer Response

VMI offroad. They are out of my price range but seem to be good choice of materials and offers small trailers you can stand up in. Not a lot of owners or pictures floating around to find recently, but company did respond to my email fairly quickly (like a week)

Has anyone seen the Opus Campers?

Lucky guy. My pop up had one staple on each 1x1 that makes the framing for the seats. So did my last one, and a 170 pound friend leaned over to get his wallet out of his back pocket and the framing of the bench broke. We've had to re-enforce brackets and framing on my current 2010 box. Plastic...

Hope the lower valence comes off as easy as the 12th gens.

Are they coming for us...(Kia, etc.)?

I've previously asked why Hyundai/Kia doesn't build a compact pickup, MAYBE a midsize (think Ridgeline). Especially if they went RWD. Jeep went unibody ages ago, but GC kept RWD based layout. Hyundai are doing well with compacts and crossovers, so it makes sense they have gone larger cross over...

    2014 F150 brake suggestions

True. They appear to make the LTS pads still. Not listing any rotors for this application. Or at least none turn up using vehicle search.

    2014 F150 brake suggestions

Alright so we have a vote for EBC, and a vote against EBC and OEM. Anyone else?

    Powertrax No-Slip Traction System?

I also do not understand what the extra components of the No Slip are compared to the Lock Right. I had a powertrax Lock Right in my Ford Ranger, and when it was really cold, it would just slip entirely. Worked great when -10C or warmer. I will have to assume it was improper installation or...

    2014 F150 brake suggestions

My 2014 F150 SCAB 4x4 needs pads all around, as well as rear rotors. Going to change fronts as well while we are at it. My OEM equipment made 90,000 KM, but to be fair the truck had 1500#s in it every day for four years while in fleet duty, plus towing a small trailer. Looking for suggestions...

Why not in USA? Australian Style Folding Camper Trailers - Front, Rear, Side folding - Hard floor, Soft Floor

I was also wondering about forward or rear fold Aussie style units. I think it comes down to price for the US. In Canada even the shitbox staple and caulk specials are 20+ grand depending where you live, but most Americans speak of paying 9-12k for the "off road" pop ups from Thor/Forest River...

    Talk to me about suspension

Where in Canada are you? I haven't heard good things about Fox shocks that go through slushy, snowy, salty winter. Premature seal leaks. Bad corrosion. Can't speak first hand though, Fox is out of my budget, and I don't want to spend that kind of $ and have to spend it again shortly thereafter...

Looking for First Ready Made Expo Trailer for Under $10k?

Maybe a Kakadu Camping unit would work, especially if you can stock it with all your tent camping gear you possibly already have. https://www.kakaducamping.com/products/bushranger-xt-off-road-camper-trailer Click the options enough though and you are over 10 k, but the USD is worth 30% more...

    Canadian prices

Just saw a Taxa Mantis for $42,xxx online in central Canada, and an inTech Luna for $27990. So if you are in the USA and thinking trailers are expensive, perhaps this will make you feel better.

Be blunt: is this forum out of my league? (TT modified for off road use)

Glad to see you here. There are others in the world, North America in particular, that do/want to do what you are already up to. Go for extended trips with some level of comfort. Use the trailer as a base camp, and go hike, bike, explore etc. Get a bit off the beaten path. I found my way here...

Most affordable, fuel efficient 4x4 set up

I'd suggest a volume trim (XLT Ford, or SXT or SLT Ram) F150 SCAB or Ram quad cab. Either with the V6. Especially a year old with low KMs. Still have factory warranty for a while, and usually a good price point. But even if buying new, wait for the right time of year for incentives, and remember...

Most affordable, fuel efficient 4x4 set up

Resale value is lower, yeah, but 6/10 people driving a half ton don't tow or haul ********, and have just bought into the hype. I have an NA V6 truck, and its not even the light aluminium body. Its basically a full size mid size, it just cost 10+ thousand dollars less than any midsize equivalently...

Small full-featured hard-sided stock trailers modified for slow off-pavement trips: surprisingly rare

A trail marker outdoors model in the 6x12 to 6'8"x12 or x14 might do for your, but no plumbed toilet in any version. Or Escape 17B has the bathroom in a well built Boler style trailer, in between a Casita and Oliver build/quality wise. 17a also available with no bathroom.
