The Rig Runner ...a 2010 E350 5.4 DIY Coil Conversion

So far so good. Has not being a year since I installed, but I've been in places already. If there is sun, it can run for days in my driveway non stop. When I travel I do not stop for long periods. Comparing this freezer with the old Igloo dorm fridge, the compressor doesn't make a banging...

The Rig Runner ...a 2010 E350 5.4 DIY Coil Conversion

These are the arm rest I used. https://www.ebay.com/itm/313743886111. I took the apart so I was able to mount the bracket inside the upholstery.

The Rig Runner ...a 2010 E350 5.4 DIY Coil Conversion

Getting ready for the ski trip. Finishing the fitting of the Audi seats: arm rest installed, airbag removed. Since it will be 6 of us, the fridge/microwave module is replaced with two captain chairs.

The Rig Runner ...a 2010 E350 5.4 DIY Coil Conversion

These are the bars I used. I got three for free. I will use four if I were to do it again. I think that adding a bolt clamping the leg and the retention plate is a must. The rest of the rack was done with painted or stained pine wood as you would build a deck. Edges rounded with a router. Good...

The Rig Runner ...a 2010 E350 5.4 DIY Coil Conversion

Passenger side done. This things are very comfortable. Haven't done any long trip but short trips around town showed potential. Swivel works very well. The Audi buckle work with the seat belt so I left the passenger buckle, if I ever have the need to drive with he passenger facing back, he/she...

Sleep 7 in e-350 eb?? Am i nuts??

The one in the picture is from an old Futon. Now I'm using a Queen size memory foam 3" topper. Neither are the best option, but I had them already. Eventually I think I'll get a 6" hard foam trifold mattress.

The Rig Runner ...a 2010 E350 5.4 DIY Coil Conversion

Nothing. The connectors for the Airbags have a shorting clip that shorts the pins to prevent any static electricity to trigger igniter. As long as I do not cut the wires and keep a proper connector at the end, it should be fine.

The Rig Runner ...a 2010 E350 5.4 DIY Coil Conversion

My daughter blew up the clutch on her 2006Audi A4. at 200k miles it's not worth fixing it. As the interior was in great shape, it would be a pity to let the front seat with full electric adjustment go to waist. I'm swapping the driver/passenger sides so the controls are inside. Driver side was...

Sleep 7 in e-350 eb?? Am i nuts??

Size maters. In my set up, if I sleep on my back, we could sleep 4 of us on the bed platform (I'm 5'7" and my wife and two daughters are 5'2"). Since I sleep on my belly, it's a little bit tight for me to sleep across so my daughters and wife sleep in the platform and I sleep in the floor, in...

Decision Time - Single Rear Tires vs Dual on Ambulance

F350 bolt pattern will give you more flexibility to find wheels. Just make sure the load rating on the tires are OK for your weight. Fitting the rear axle from a truck will require welding new spring perches and shock mountings. You got a great deal on the donor. If I were to do it again I'll...

Econoline EB room behind second row of seats

I'm guessing what you call 2nd row is the 3rd, 1st is the driver and passenger row. I replaced the bench on my 3rd row with a 2nd row seat from a Tahoe. It folds forward and gives me a Queen size area for the bed. The fridge/microwave mo0dule can be replace with two captain chairs, giving me 7...

The Rig Runner ...a 2010 E350 5.4 DIY Coil Conversion

I retained the rear AC. I live in Houston, any AC I can get I'll take it. I cut the roof Air duct to gain some headroom. The air now exits the opening straight out. From the driver seat I can feel air coming form the back. Lots of times I run low at front and max on the rear. I LOVE IT!. I'll...

The Rig Runner ...a 2010 E350 5.4 DIY Coil Conversion

Another weekend doing things I was not supposed to do. Got to Barnwell Mountain Recreational Area with the Toyotas In Texas Group. I place a couple of Toyota and Sienna badges so they thought had a minivan. Good people and good fun. With a lot of pushing, I was able to squeeze on a tight spot...

    2014 Ford E-350 12ft SRW Box Truck

One though about the location of the panels. I put mine on the back of the van since I already had the vent already installed and that way I had a large platform at front. I like it there since I try to park on places that cast shade on the windshield. I can park under a tree or close to a...

Boring Econoline Stuff: Seat Belts and Glove Boxes

My 2000 Chateau had a drawer on the passenger seat that open to the left. It was nice and almost "secret". I didn't take that base to my 2010 as I got swivel seat.

Boring Econoline Stuff: Seat Belts and Glove Boxes

Pre-2009 there were no glove box. after that there is a little one under the passenger airbag. There are several versions of the center console some may fit your requirements. Depending of the years, sun, sweat and dirt exposure the webbing can become stiff. A good soaking and cleaning can...

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

I'll like to see more details on how the side tent fits the barn doors. Interesting brand for the rear awning. I'm sure they do not have a large market in any Spanish speaking countries.

The Rig Runner ...a 2010 E350 5.4 DIY Coil Conversion

Another trip to an off-road park. Life gets in the way of longer trips so this should do. This think keeps surprising me . With a little bit of stupidity is a very capable vehicle. Only messed a little bit the roof rack because of clearance with the trees and a side step as I got high...
