I though this was a cool idea. The entire bench platform slides forward over the cab back seats and the wood backrest folds out or down for an extended downstairs sleeping area. Still need the piano hinge.
Looks like there’s a lot of votes for stain/clear coat. I’ll have to look into the outdoor Varethane.
I was thinking about paint or bed liner, but the birch does look really nice. The clear coat might even go with the tan tent and tan seats. Maybe…
Looks like it fits. Hope it goes in and out as easily as I planned. Now time to screw it together. The cushions are on order. Still debating whether to stain, paint, or carpet it.
This reminds me that I want my camper furniture easily removable so I can haul things in my truck.
I’m starting the interior furniture. It’s going to be light, simple, and comfortable.
I love looking at these campers. Please post more interior photos, especially from narrow mid sized truck campers. I'm designing the interior of my build now, don't have much room to work with, and need some great ideas!
Good eye! They are great little trash cans for the truck, or holding big water/gator aid bottles after a bike ride. I'm always using them. They come in handy for my AR and 12 gage also:)
Sweet bike. I like that you can't tell it's an ebike. I was thinking about getting a Specialized Levo, which looks similar to yours.
The pictures of me above are from Winter Park which is some of the best biking on the east side of the Rockies as well as some cool 4 wheeling. I hear Whistler...
I'll have to steal the CAD joke!
Yep, I had to get a new Mountain Bike, just trying to keep up with my kid.
If I get tired, I can just have fun shuttling my kid to the top of the mountain!
I'm mocking up the interior with plywood and cardboard boxes. The tall box will be a storage cabinet, possibly with sink/stove on top. The bench will pull out and fold over the back seats of the Gladiator, making an "L" shaped bench. The frig is under the seat by the tailgate. Looks like I could...
Thanks, it has a drop down bed inside, 8ft walk around height and open to the cab. The build link is below with lots of progress pictures. It was a year in the making and it's not done yet!
Thanks, I was a bit stressed, but everything seems to be working well. So far I've put a couple hundred miles on it driving around. No 4 wheeling yet.
It's funny, but I'm getting about 1/2 mile per gallon better fuel economy on the highway. I guess it has better aerodynamics than just the...
Alright, I'ld like to go camping this weekend, but I'm missing a mattress. With my tall top, I can go with about any thickness. The size I need is called an RV mattress 48" x 75". I'm thinking about an 4" RV mattress. Are there cheaper/better options than below?
What do you guys think?
