True, it was the original plan. I even purchased the smaller urine bottle to cut up and hide the entire drain. Not a hard process, plenty of examples on the internet to show process and before and after photos with basic hardware store parts.
@Ram 5500 CAMPERTHING hit the nail on the head...
Not speaking for Kevin
My rear axle weighs 11,200 LBS.
I would have loved a 37” tire that could handle 6000 LBS EACH, not to be had at the time of my build.
There are very few options out there.
More options in the future? Who knows?
I do not HATE the Continental MPT81, but I do not LOVE...
There are a few different peoples opinions I respect, not favoring a Lagun. I was able to inspect a Lagun shortly AFTER we purchased the current steel one. We purchased the EZ Reach figuring if we did not like we could send it back or sell it.
After 10 weeks of use, using it almost everyday...
If you could just be a little bit more detailed in your trip reports it would help :) LOL LOL
I guess I need to get to work writing a trip report of sorts, it will be no where near that good!
GREAT write up! THIS is how you help the next guy.....honest write ups and information!
CHEERS!!
Kevin, @RAM 5500 CAMPERTHING
I am not usually at a loss for words, being Irish, LOL.

Andy,
It was GREAT to have breakfast with you and your lovely wife. So cool to FINALLY get both rigs together. Thanks for driving your rig to the meetup, and for the drone work.
We need to make time for camping next time :)
WOW...the kind words!! THANK YOU! As you well know it takes a LOT...
Well if anyone is going to Expo East :)
We applied for the DIY area and were accepted :)
A little show and tell to answer questions and possibly help out a future builder.
Headed home from a family visit in NM this week. See you in Virginia :)
CHEERS!!
Never stop exploring....
Overlooking the north rim of the Grand Canyon.
Camp chair view! There are also campsites on the edge of the rim! AMAZING!
What do you do when you pass through Hurricane UT on your way to Zion...stop by Matt's Offroad Recovery!
Why did we backtracked a little...
Vance,
Thank you for the VERY KIND words!
It was really great to get to visit with you, get to know you, and see the amazing work on your build.
A TON OF WORK....but amazing. Can not wait to park the rigs on a beach together and share a cold one!
Do not fool yourself! These builds take a...
We stopped in to see Vance’s build while on our west trip and HOLLY COW! AMAZING workmanship and attention to detail. We had an AWESOME time visiting with Vance and exploring each others builds. TOP NOTCH, and my hat is way off to the amount of effort he is putting in….ALONE!
Can not...
Skipped the hot spring in the rain but the dredge and the stories the volunteers told….a not miss!
We drove ID 21 from Stanley to Boise….AMAZING! and newly paved. Cloudy day but that made it even better for colors and views.
Thanks for the info….again 😃
CHEERS!!
We made it to Idaho and started our turn south.
Custer Motorway Idaho. Challis ID road 070 out of town towards Sunbeam. Good road, a bit narrow at times but PLENTY of pull outs for passing traffic and no low obstructions! LOTS of BEAUTIFUL scenery and dispersed camping spots.
Happy hour...
YES the tires make noise, but not that bad to us. Good thing I guess is the truck is quite…LOL.
There is a “new” MPT 81 in the works, harder compound and SLIGHTLY wider. Designed more for the Overland crowd. I have it on good authority that once the 20,000 old stock MPT’S are sold the “new“...
Another 1000 miles under our belt. Rig is doing great. Did some 4 wheel drive forest off roading. Box moved around, as designed, but note to self…SLOW DOWN DUMMY!! Those sand whoop D doos were a bit much. Better on the way out. MUCH SLOWER!!
CHEERS from ND!!
First 1000 miles down….A BUNCH more to go.
No major issues and things are working as designed, after a minor DC-DC reprogram. Welded on the truck before we left, disconnected EVERYTHING, and the DC controllers went to factory reset. EASY FIX!
The weather is darn near perfect in the U P...
Vance,
It feels GREAT to be on the road. Currently camped at a small grass strip fly-in.
The effort was TOTALLY worth it! Yours will be too!! So far our “nest” feels like home!
This, and a few other, online resources helped us TRY and dial in some choices. I decided before we started...
