    Cell Booster

How far can you get from the MiFi with this setup? I am thinking of using a booster in the vehicle but want to work outside the vehicle... set up a shade tent nearby with a table and chair... are you doing something like this and is it working for you?

    Mobile Internet

From a non-technical perspective (there are clearly some very knowledgeable folks in this thread), I am viewing Starlink as a possible solution to all of this in a couple years... which is great for those of us trying to work remotely... but pretty sucky for making noplace in the world out of...

    WeBoost

Looks like there's a whole lot of us trying to solve the same thing: working remotely from the wilderness. I just got off the phone with WeBoost support to ask about working from within a tent shade near the vehicle and they were emphatic that (a) your phone can't be that far from the...

    WeBoost

Besides the one Sedona example, what is your experience with being able to stream video (Zoom, Webex, etc) from remote places? Is this consistently working with the booster in a variety of places, or is it less common that you can boost up to enough service to do remote screen-sharing meetings?

And how far away from your Verizon JetPack are you then working?

@MobileAndMonitoring , I see a cell phone booster on your rig... what has your experience been? Is it worth the $500?

    4Runner or JLU

Love my 2018 4Runner TRDORP, but it is not comfortable for longer road trips. As an example, I recently drove Jackson Hole back to San Diego (1,000 miles) in one day. My ass hurt for several days afterwards. Not kidding. I am hoping to spend a couple months driving San Diego to Alaska and...

mattress for the back of a 4runner?

For one person in a 5th gen 4Runner: remove the second row seat bottoms and find appropriate size bins for the floor wells, then get a queen size 3-inch memory foam mattress topper ($100 at Costco), fold it over itself length-wise and you’ve got a 6-inch comfy bed for one.

Exped Megamat Duo 10 torn after zero trips

So... what happened? FWIW, I don't have the hundreds or thousand plus nights on mine that some here do, but I have had zero issues with my Exped--other than it being so damn big when packed in the 4Runner! :)

    Refrigerator noise

Snomaster out of stock. All these new folks who've never been camping/traveling before buying up absolutely everything in sight and overrunning every natural place around are really starting to annoy me!

Driving though Canada to Alaska during the Covid-19 Pandemic

Saw a news story where the leader (title?) of, I think, British Columbia was advising folks with non-Canadian license plates who were in fact legally in Canada to perhaps leave their cars at home and use public transportation--because otherwise it's likely that Canadians will call the cops on you.

    Refrigerator noise

My last longer adventure in my 4Runner was three weeks--I slept inside the vehicle and ate dehydrated camping food or instant oatmeal for 2/3 meals each day and generally ate one meal in a restaurant each day. I was mostly not way in the backcountry. I'm planning a longer trip this fall &...

    Southern California dispersed camping suggestions

Dude, your report depresses the living crap out of me... but matches what I’ve been hearing. There’s gotta be *someplace* left that all the drone-wielding, soy-latte toting vegan Youtubers haven’t found?!? ********.

Cross Country to Montana and Wyoming... (Very pic heavy)

Oh, I do so love that area. And nice photos. You went way off to the right at Schwabacher’s for a different composition, but it’s nice! Sorry you didn’t see any bears... I’ll loan you this one from the Tetons last month! :-)

Australian and British bloggers arrested in Iran

I think/hope that we will hear the story. They have already stated that nothing that was in the news was correct. Hopefully they will share details publicly.
