I'd be interested in them. I've collected most of the issues one way or another over the years and always end up giving them away to friends and now I wish I had some of them back :-).
I'll pm you for info.
Thanks,

For Sale - Mountain Hardwear jacket. Men's XL. I haven't been able to find the receipt for it to know exactly which model it is. I bought it about a year ago and probably wore it less than 20 times. 3 external zippered pockets. Drawstring along lower edge. Extremely comfortable. Retail...
Looks great, Larry. I'll be looking forward to hearing how the paint fares on your Rhino Lining as well. I saw your truck at Expo and ogled it for awhile but never did find you. Nice work.

And to the OP question, here are some shots from our trans-Nevada adventure last fall.
Three old Broncos at some old gas pumps:
We had 3 early Broncos and 3 different generations of Toyota pickups on our trip. Here are the Broncos. I think this picture was actually taken in southern Idaho...
X2 on that!
That particular truck is shown at the Fabulous Fords Show at Knotts Berry Farm a few years ago. It was owned by the same couple for many years. They sold it to a friend of mine a few years back and it now resides back East somewhere.

And you certainly can. You just have to be intentional about it and realize the limitations and compromises of your vehicle choice. Early Broncos will never make a "top 10 vehicles for overlanding" list here on Expo, but that's ok. I like to tell people, "know yourself and know your vehicle"...
Depending on what you want to do with it, I'd recommend finding one that has at leasta few modern, reliable upgrades done to it. It will make the driving much more enjoyable. I cut my driving teeth in mine when it had a 3 on the three in it. There are plenty of trucks available now with disc...
Depends on how "expo" you want them to be :) I've used mine for week-plus trips in remote locations but it definitely has its limitations. I have several friends with early Broncos with Four Wheel Campers on them that would be better suited for longer adventures.

Well stated, Scott. And it's the loving of certain vehicles that leads us to irrational decisions and the accompanying large expenditures. I own vehicles that I like and I respect; I keep them maintained and running well. I also have vehicles I love - and that's when the "eccentric" moniker...
Very impressive. As a manufacturing engineer, I can say that AEV and similar companies are bright lights that give us hope in what appears to be a dim future for manufacturing in the U.S.
Looks like you guys saw some really neat stuff.

Day 2:
Monday morning in the Bay of LA came quickly. I slept easier Sunday night since I wasn't driving on Monday but still found time to review all my screw-ups on Sunday a few dozen times while I lay on the floor in my sleeping bag.
Nick and I checked out the cars in the starting line...
Yes, I think you're right that the first photo was from '68. That particular Bronco in the picture is now owned by Andrew and will someday, I'm sure, look like that again.
I'm pretty certain that's Jim Loomis and Bud Wright in the second picture. Their truck was very similar to ours and was...
